- Oh yes you can. And without a playoff game, I think. Good news is our last 7 games are at home. Twinks then Sox. Home road dycodomy must hold firm, or it's a conspiracy. magic # 9 we sit at 81 wins. dodododododododo
only if one team doesn't finish there full schedule and if the twins are down .5 of a game they will make the team do the makeup game.... unless you have another way? I thought I had it thought out, otherwise i'd never make the bet :P
Cincinnati Reds vs. Pittsburgh Pirates - Recap - September 24, 2009 - ESPN They are saying the actual attendance for the Reds-Pirates game was about 3,000! Pretty bad.
They seem to be blaming the "Anarchists" that are in town to protest the G-20. They actually should have turned the tables and made a promotion out of it. Anarchy Day!
I've had a couple instances where I went and saw good bands, but because of blizzards, there was nobody there. It is strange when you find yourself in an awkwardly empty place with performers who are used to having a packed house.
My brother and I were there this summer. Whats sad is that it is an AWESOME STADIUM with an AWESOME view!!
Gang, I know TFD is trying to be humorous, but you cant finish a half game out even if one team played 162 games and the other 161. That one game would be made up even if it was Florida flying to Seattle.
Bengals do the expected yet improbable and sweep the Tribe. Next up : a lovely weekend in ChiTown. I will have to hear Hawk's mouth all weekend , so Tigers save me from "Put it on the board YES!" We need 2 of 3, but our hogs wont be going this weekend. The offense HAS to step up!
Just think of it like this: If Tigers had finished there schedule at 90w 72l and The twins were 90-71, but were rained out of a game back in May, The Tigers still get to say "How do we know they wouldnt have LOST that game?" Thus the Twins would have to WIN that game to avoid a one game playoff with Tigers.
Our magic # is 8 over the Twins. It is down to 1 for the Sox as a Tiger win means "they gone" Will the Sox play spoiler or lay over dead like they did with the Twins.
Three games up with 12 to go. I'm still nervous. It would be nice for them to get to the playoffs, obviously. If they get there, do they have enough pitching to compete? When it comes to pitching, this team is a M*A*S*H* unit. After Verlander and Jackson, who is dependable? Is Porcello the next guy in line? I guess we'll have to see how well Bonine does, but I'm not holding my breath there. As bad as the offense is, if the pitching were in better shape, I'd be less worried.
