Before you all get too excited, don't forget many teams can play well before the allstar break and then tank the last half of the season.
    Hope that aint us.

Who leads the Tigers in wins? Porcello wins number 5!!!!!
And simply put: WE ARE A BETTER TEAM without Thames, Ordonez and Guillen in the outfield. Keep Magga in right, But guillen is now a full time DH. F thames.

Things to love about this game:

Anderson threw out a runner at plate
    Santiago comes through again
Laird throws runner out at 2nd base;scores on wild pitch
    Inge homers to right field
Perry cant be touched when we have the lead
Zoom aint ready to be a closer, but he is definetly back
Cabrera turns a 1st to home double play
Inge hadANOTHER over the shoulder catch
Polanco had another 2 out RBI hit

    a TEAM effort

after 40 games..24-16..and 4 BAD losses in there as well.

I dunno about Guillen. I ain't really eager for his return.

If Maggs can build off of his last few games then I wouldn't mind keeping him around.

Although the Tigs lost 2, they were well played games. 4-3 and 3-1, as apposed to a 8-2, 10-1 out-classing.
Willis went 6 2/3 gave up 3 runs. You wonder when his head might explode.

Pitching still looks good but run support has died off. Hope Guillen comes back soon.

Verlander (5-2), who improved to 5-0 with a 0.85 ERA in his last six starts.:gun1:

Tigers win 13-1 behind the pitching of Verlander.

I predicted 18 wins for him a few weeks ago.

Can we all say "Cy Young Winner"...

Sure glad Dombrowski didn't give up on Verlander... sometimes the best moves are sitting on your hands... in Joe's case it led to stinky hands (sorry couldn't resist).

Before the season, I wagered the Tigers to win the World Series at 30-to-1.

    TIGERS WEEKLY(HOLIDAY VERSION):

Pretty OK week, especially if you live in the 'cant win em all" vain that I live in. The two Colorado losses were both winnable and the good pitching (good enough) of Willis and Galarraga is still acceptable. Give Galarraga half of the 13 runs we scored today and he wins his game as well.

Everett and Santana are still a great combonation......

TIGERS LEAD American League with a 3.87 ERA and 6th shutout. Miner blew 7th today..........

Is there any way we can sign Joe Mauer?....

I feel June will be Grandy, Polanco and Maggs' month

Tigers are 8-5 since 17-13 mark. Like I said 'JUST stay on that pace" and eventually u will get to 85-65.

In the OTHER 12 GAMES scenario, we are still 0-3. If we beat Grienke, I'll call that a 'other 12' win.

This is what I have been thinking. I like that we are in great shape and some of our best players have been underachieving so far. Room for improvement.
