Next find some guys other than Cabrera who can knock out more than 30 dingers. and hope that Inge can put up all star numbers again......for the whole season.
Zumaya, if healthy, could be a very solid 8th inning man. With Perry handling the 7th, and Valverde as the closer, the bullpen is looking very good (on paper). Report: Tigers get Valverde for $14M | detnews.com | The Detroit News

This sounds like a bitter divorce. I wonder why. No Lou Whitaker at Tigers spring training | detnews.com | The Detroit News
JV will be hear for another 5 years: Tigers' Justin Verlander: 'I feel like this organization ... wants to win' | freep.com | Detroit Free Press
That's $16 million per year..... Or about 1/2 million per game..... Or about $5000 per pitch.... This guy is going to make as much as Rascoe.
Seems odd. I thought the Tiggers were cutting payroll. After all, they broomed Jackson and Granderson. Two of my favorites. Wonder what's really going on?
Johnny Damon and Tigers Finalize $8M, 1-Year Deal - ABC News Does the 36 year Damon still have something in the tank to help the Tigers??
I think he will help but our season results hang on the pitching staff. If JV, Porcello and the new guy can put up some good innings and if Perry, Zumaya and Valverde are lights out; we could be good. It will still be exciting.
Lebron stated, "Losing Damon to the Tigers will affect us as a team" Sounds like a guy whose looking forward to playing in NY...
