Maybe we he will think about following Damon to Motown??
We negotiate a sign and trade everybody older than 27 deal for his highness.

HQ, when you have been doing something so long, that people start to help you with your tradition, that means you're doing something right. Good job! :)

Scoring runs in the preseason doesn't seem to be an issue. Will this continue into the regular season? Isn't the pitching supposed to be ahead of the hitting this early in camp?

I was at the game in Lakeland yesterday. Man, the wind was blowing in and the Tigers were still crushing it. The regulars are all hitting, but there are a few youngsters (Strieby, Wells) that played in Erie last season that were hitting well, too.

Don Kelly has been looking good all week. He can play several positions. If he keeps hitting, Leyland will work him into the lineup. Tigers need lefty batters.

Verlander was very solid in 3 innings. It looks like Bonderman got shelled for 6 runs today and didn't make it out of the 1st inning.

I think Damon will have a good year. He hits a lot like Polanco. Just takes what the pitcher gives him and puts the ball into play.

I'm figuring the Tigers win at least 98 games this season.
They'll be smokin by the playoffs.

Very strong preseason. If Nate R for Mr. Panic Attack means anything we should be good to go.

Nice come back win by the Tigers today after JV struggled midway through five innings throwing over 130 pitches. The Tigers trailed 4-1 when Verlander exited, but after getting one run back in the top of the sixth, the bats exploded for six runs in the seventh inning to take a commanding and winning 8-4 lead.

Rookie Austin Jackson had a great major league debut with his parents and girl friend in the stands as he was instrumental in driving the first of the six runs with a double down the left field line for his first hit and first RBI and then threw out a batter at home plate in the bottom of the seventh when the royals were threatening.

Looks like Johnny Damon is a great pickup too with 2 hits, 2 RBI, and scored 2 runs.

MLB must have free preview as I was able to watch the game live here in So Cal on FSD. Have to assume that the rest of the games this week will be available.

    Go get em Tigers!!

Thankfully KC's bullpen was awful today. Greinke went out top of the 7th - BLAM! 6-run-inning

Grienke threw 95 pitches. On Day One out of 162, managers don't want to get crazy with high pitch counts.

This all worked out perfectly for the Tigers because Grienke was cruising along like usual.

What happened to this thread ?
Tigs taken 2 of 3 from red hot Twinks. By the grace of bullpen still 2 games above .500.
Hopefully Twinks come to earth cause we aint going up to catch them.
