I guess its too late to start TFis.
I would suck every pitch out of Justin's arm to get to the next round.

Unfortunately, there are no White Castle restaurants west of Minnesota. So the only one's available here in Cali are the hard kind in the frozen food section at our local supermarkets. And they don't even compare to the originals...:burgereater:

Maybe a good break for the Tigers since CC was looking dominant. It definitely adds a layer of complexity for the managers now.

Interesting that the game is a continuation, but that new pitchers are going to be out there. Stinks that it takes away their ability to throw shutouts, no hitters, etc. At least it is tied.

Does it really screw up a starting pitcher that bad to throw 1 inning? Can't come back the next day from that?

Now is where Leyland may have earned some credit. While the Yankee manager is toiling and now becoming concerned about starters, Leyland is staying calm and simply going to plan B...........This should have a calming effect on Fister, who has never pitched in the post-season. I now expect a win in game 1...and game 2... :stirthepot:

Longest game of the season for the Tiger fans, especially after the grand slam by Robinson Canoe who along with the weather and Leyland killed the Tigers.

Just one game and one loss, but the NY weather gods have handcuffed the Tigers pitching setup as Fister was strong, but collapsed probably when he forced a supposed-accidental-unintentional walk to Jorge Pasada in the 6th inning and then Gardner got that hit that open the flood gates open setting up the GS by Canoe. Looks like if we get to game five it will be Fister pitching with Verlander only pitching game three. Scherzer was supposed to pitch in the friendly confines of Comerica, but because of the weather has to pitch in the Bronx. Wondering if JL will cross everything up and comeback with JV on Sunday?? After all CC is trying to convince his manager to comeback Sunday so that he can pitch in game 4 or 5??

Leyland who [STRIKE]normally[/STRIKE] always plays the percentages when it comes to pitching, deviated from his senses and brought in New Mexico instead of Cola and Canoe even looked sideways at Leyland before parking a grand slam in the second deck devastation AA who sat on the bench the next inning by himself.

Over aggressive 3B coach Gene Lamont waives Avila home on a sharp hit to center where he is thrown out and kills a rally.

I believe all of the Yankees 8 runs tonight were scored after two outs.

To cap it off, Rivera comes in to cool any thoughts of a major Tiger rally in the ninth with three straight pitches to strikeout Betimit.

And for Scherzer to pitch a shut out.

Get one in NY and we don't have to go back there....

Who cares if he pitches 100 pitches in the 9th as long as they win.

That bottom of the 9th was nerve-wracking. Actually, just watches the games has been nerve-wracking. We need JV to show why he is the MVP tomorrow. Papa Grande may not be available. Brad Penny may have to close.

Papa Grande had the whole Tiger Nation doing a Lebron :nailbiting:as his theatrics turned into a real life edge of your seat suspense/drama.

He actually pitched only 34 pitches, but with Benoit throwing 23 we now need the Tiger bats to explode early tomorrow and Verlander to pitch a complete game. Otherwise it's Coke game to save.

Those bats need to wake up as they left 15 men on base mostly due to strike outs including 2 each by Jackson, VMart, Avila and Peralta.

The rain almost cost the Tigers todays game as Avila slipped on the Yankee "painted" on deck circle where the supposed defensive specialist Brandon Cringe did not attempt to catch a ball that was probably easier for him to take.

Just think, the way Scherzer pitched today, we could have swept this series if they had gotten over the jitters and the rain delay and JV pitched strong to the end and Fister had had the right (or left handed) offensivethe line up in there yesterday to get to Inova early.

As you can see I live on Ifs .....and If we do win tomorrow, then we are putting the clincher in Porcello's hands.
