Tigers reveted to their habits of late - not getting a clutch hit and giving up two-out runs. When you get 16 hits you have to get more than 3 runs. However, when instead of clutch hits you produce pop-outs, strikeouts, double-plays, fielder's choice at home you're not going to win period. Tigers are falling further behind.
Yep what goes around comes around. I think the Tigs won with 3 hits not long ago. As long as we win the series.
2nd hitter Miller faces drives the run in with a triple. Tigs are facing prospects of being 4.5 games behind with Cleveland beating up on Santana and Minni.
Tigers losing 5-0 and the 1st inning isn't even over. Milller didn't even last an inning. The Tigers will need their offense to bail themselves out of this one if they even want a chance at winning...
I think Leyland was stuck in the can, as Miller stayed in there and faced 11 batters before he was yanked.. first six batters got on before he was able to get an out.... Got to hope that the offense can bail us out of this one. Indians sweeping and mariners got swept and tigers moving backwards
Seems like all of Miller's pitches were up in the strike zone. I hope the kid doesn't get too down on myself. That's not needed at this juncture of his career.
Sheff says he isn't hurt that bad, maybe? Rogers is throwing again, but not sure of pitch location yet.
You mean 8.1 shutout innings. In pitching statistics, the "dot" between the 8 and the 1 is a "thirds point", not a decimal (tenths) point.
Offense has gone in a shell again. As we were worried Tigers scored this week's runs in one gama against Yanks. This is getting more difficult by day. Now 4.5 games back.
Can the Tigs salvage one game from this KC series? Can Bondo get through the first without giving up runs? Questions and more questions for Tigers.
One more time Tigers can't get a clucth hit and leave runners on 1st and 3rd in the 1st inning. Time for Bondo to perform.
