Once again the bull pen and shoddy fielding by Avila who by the way went 0-5 today and hit into double plays the last two games lose a game that Verlander possibly could have earned his 3rd win. He got his 3 runs, in fact got six, but neither Benoit nor Villareal could hold it. So a team that was once 9-3 is now 10-10 and the ace has already pitched this weekend....
tied for second at 11-11 with the ChiSox..........Indians in first place up 1 game.. Only 4 hits today off CC
May will start in a day..... I'm glad to say...... time to earn some pay..... gotta go all the way........ the drive starts today.........
Nine runs...including 5 in the first inning. Most runs since mid-April. A couple of Royals errors in the first inning helped, and the Tigers will take all of the help they can get. Nice pitching job by Pocello who went 8 innings scattering 3 runs. Tigers win 9--3. Hopefully the woeful Royals can cure the silent Tiger bats and the 11-11 April turns into a .650 winning percentage May.
Tigers all the way........ They're here to stay....... Saying all that, after one day.... Must be the start of May.....
JV, only got two runs Wednesday...Tigers lose. Three or four runs should been a victory. 12-12......after starting off the season 9-3, so the first 12 games they look like the second best team in the AL, the last 12 games they look a team still searching for an identity. Still only a half game out of first and 138 games left, they still got a chance move back into first place and win the division...
Power Rankings: Rays like view from catwalk - Yahoo! Sports Tigers are ranked 12th with a 12-12 record..........White Sox are ranked 20th with a 12-12 record....... What's up with that........... Tigers have joined a large group of average teams..........
Or is that an average group of large teams... Fister 6' 8" Porcello 6'6" Verlander 6'5" Fielder 270# (I wonder when the last time they weighed him was?) (and the type of scales) Cabrera 240# Gene Lamont 250#+++ Papa Grande 240# +
When the baseball season is over, Fister, Porcello and Verlander can ride the Piston pine and be available for scrub duty with VMac and our #2 pick this year. Fielder and, Papa Grande, and Cabrera can be the Lions backup offensive linemen.
