That's one advantage of having the day off.
Hard to believe that we didn't have Sanchez for most of the year last year. 7.0 innings, 1 ER, 4 hits, and 1 BB. Dude is money.
we wasted 2 runs ! If we take this soft division we should be ok.
Report: MLB could suspend 'about 20' players for performance-enhancing drugs; Tigers' Jhonny Peralta listed | Detroit Free Press | freep.com This would be a major blow. He's having a fantastic season.
And now we know why.....
I would guess that he laid off the juice during the investigation, but who knows. Hopefully he's the only one. It really wouldn't surprise me to hear than any particular MLB player (Tigers or not) is on something.
Avila batting SEVENTH ...AGAIN!!!!!! Jeesh!!!
wasted effort by Fister....choke job twice by Prince.......Its WHEN U HIT THAT COUNTS!
I can count 5 wasted efforts by Tiger pitchers in the the last 9 games....which might explain why they are 4-6 in their last 10. The only reason they have a 2 game lead in the division is because Cleveland, KC ChiSux are even worst in their last 10. How is it this team leads the league in runs and gets shut out 3 times in the last 8 days??? Call it untimely hitting and carelessness in the field and no aggressive imagination by the coaching staff. Tampa Bay walks Miggy, puts two on and Fielder fans. Tampa Bay comes out in the top of ninth with a decision to bunt in the possible, probable and eventual winning base runner in the top of the ninth.....the Tigers seldom bunt.....because they have POWER!!
In a 5 at-bat game, the odds of Cabrera getting on base at least once is 95% (based on his OBP).
Valverde must be released. He doesnt have it anymore. A great GREAT guy, But Papa must go.
He is 7 for 9 on save chances. Going into today, he held the opponent scoreless in 12 of 14 games with a 3.29 ERA and 0.80 WHIP. With all that said, I completely agree with you. The problem is, with those stats, he will be given a longer leash. He will have to blow many games before the Tigers part with him.
It was too good to be true. Bigger sample size and his ERA creeps back up to reality. Too bad Rondon is too wild.
We've all seen guys just lose it before. His arm and now his demeanor are too close. Giambi homers? Giambi??? Like I always say: "I HATE STATS!"
I wish one of the guys on the team would blow his stack at Smokes and then the whole team in general to get them off their duffs and out of their comfort...........................................................zone !
What would that accomplish? They have won their last 2 games. They are in first in their division by 3.5 games.
I can't believe I've seen the day that we are becoming spoiled as Detroit Tiger fans. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Just trying to shake them up.
Tigers beat Indians, 7-5, in series opener Smokes might have clammy hands.
