Jackson two miscues in center field today....guess the sun is affecting him...
He's been pretty solid so far.
ChiSox with grand slam to go on top
Now Putkonen ejected for hitting Ramirez? Leyland too?
Pitchers throwing at hitters, getting ejected, dugouts emptying, managers going nuts, etc...good game brewing.
Nobody got hit and ejections galore? Leyland got his money's worth after ejection.
Well, if the umpire views you were intentionally throwing at a guy, he can eject you. If you curse at an umpire for a long duration, he can eject you. That is why Putkonen and Leyland are both gone.
I thought that Leyland was sitting in the dugout when he got ejected and Fielder almost got clocked in the head just before that.
That Jackson miscue did open the door for the GS.....so those early LOB are coming back to haunt the Tigers, especially with AA struggling again to get anybody out...
No worries, Coke is warming up. And also a nice defensive play by AA to cover 1st.
I thought Fielder got hit on that pitch to him....and it was right after the Miggy hit is HR so if anything Sale should have been tossed, but it's the second guy that supposedly throws at the batter that gets tossed....
Coke with another stellar job - giving up a homer and loading the bases with 1 out before getting yanked. This team seems to have a mental problem. If anyone pushes them they just fall apart.
I'm sure you were joking here about Coke. He managed 6 strikes on 19 pitches. His stay in Detroit should be wearing thin. Now, that's FAN thinking. Here is LEYLAND THOUGHT: "Hmmm ... Phil is struggling a bit. I will give him a dozen more chances and then re-evaluate. He just needs to iron out a few kinks. He did unbelievable for us last year in the playoffs. Hmmm ... I need a smoke."
Of course I was joking. I was Coke's supporter for a while there, but when it became obvious that he just can't figure it out, I thought it would be the best if he spent some time at Toledo trying to figure out what it is that's bothering him.
And the same for Avila, not sure why he's getting all the starts while hitting around .180
Boy to lose a series in the weak central division to any team especially the White Sux when they are almost 20 games under .500 kinda offsets the 3-1 series win you had over the Indians over the weekend.
have to wonder if JL left Sanchez in there too long....102 pitches and only his second game back from injury. The Jackson miscue didn't help matters.
Also heard one of the announcers last week indicate the Tigers had only won 3 games the whole season when scoring 3 runs or less. That's kind of scary in tight games as they go down the stretch.
These losses are frustrating. The key is to win enough to get into the playoffs and be rolling when you do. Last year, the Tigers lost 74 games and still made it to the World Series. This year, the Tigers winning percentage (.549) is actually higher than last year (.543). Patience is a virtue.
This team seems to have a weak mental makeup. As soon as things go bad or someone pushes them hard they just fall apart. Happened against Texas and against SF.
What you trying to say ??!
You better check yourself.
