This team was weaker last year and we won 2 post season series. We just went up against the A's 2 best pitchers on the road and stole home field advantage.

Nobody has more than a 20% chance of taking the title. Every single team that is eliminated will have fans criticizing their GMs, managers, and players.

The Wings have won the Cup once in the last decade. The Tigers can match them with a little luck.

We better enjoy this while it lasts, because after Ilitch, it's doubtful that we're going to continue to operate with a Boston-like payroll. Even with Ilitch, we're probably going to have to start letting guys go for financial reasons.

Fielder is a stud and locked up for the next 7 years. There is no salary cap in the MLB. Teams don't do sign-and-trades. If Ilitch wanted Cano, he would have to dish out another $300 million.

Cano was just being silly, but $200M still is gooffy.

Cano is dead serious. Fielder signed with the Tigers for $214 million. That is $24M per year. Cano wants $30M per year.

Game on...MLB...jackson has already struckout again and Prince continues to leave Miggy stranded. Sanchez has given up two sharp hits, but has not allowed a run through two innings.

The Tigers let two rookies beat them Saturday and have now gone 18 scoreless innnings.

Got to get to this pitcher early and often. The team that wins game 3 normally wins the five game series.....especially in a sweep :graduate:

I'd seriously consider DH'ing Cabrera until he is able to play 3rd base again. That would be sticking Peralta at 3rd base and Martinez at catcher. When was the last time Avila threw anybody out anyway?

Yep, Coco just stole one on Avila......Sanchez struggling and has already given up 3 hits and two walks and pc up to 49 in 2.1 innings. Miggy gets an error as one gets by him at third and A's go up 1 as Coco scores.

So you are a soothsayer my friend....

The one time that we faced Parker in the regular season, we posted 8 runs in 3.1 innings before he was yanked. So, we know that we can get at him.

That was his worst performance of the season I believe.

Dang, I didn't realize they played this early....or, perhaps I am better off not watching this....

or maybe I should watch....Peralta with a huge 2-run single to tie the score at 3-3 in the 4th. Who cares if he takes Steroids? He is our guy.

    I like the Tigers.

Monday afternoon playoff games are not very convenient for the fanbase.

Have the Tigers adopted Katie Perrys' Roar as their theme song yet? MLB played it so wasn't sure if was their doing or not?

Would be nice to have her come out and sing it at Comerica during the 7th inning of the first game of the WS.....oops, we still need six more W's to get there....

Can we put this one on Jimmy for leaving Anibal in there despite obviously being off today?

We really could have used an average game from Sanchez today. Very unattractive ending to the game with Balfour spouting off at one of baseball's good guys.

I'm sure they won't do it, but theoretically, we could put Scherzer/Verlander in for games 4 and 5. Might be short sighted though. Fister is more than capable against any team's 4th best pitcher... but Scherzer really is. Only Arnie Kander could green light this one.

Well are we done yet? There will be no sparkling cider in the Tiger clubhouse tomorrow. (not that it would have been there if they had won these two home games.)

The long ball was supposed to be the key to winning this series at the confines of Comerica, but unfortunately it was the A's who lead the majors in homers after the All-star break and they were the ones that capitalize on it. They had 3 today and the Tigers have not had a chick to dig the long ball since way back on September 24th.

Anibal Sanchez , the 2013 AL ERA champ? came out of the locker room shakey and his 101st pitch landed over the wall in left center in the 5th inning. Everybody watching the game in person and on TV, knew that Sanchez probably should have been pulled after he gave up the homer to Moss in the 5th....a guy had already struckout 7 times in this series. I mean somebody should have already in the pen warming up, but have to assume that JL like all of us assume that the Tigers were back in it :bs:.

The announcers said that Sanchez flew home early Saturday morning to rest and watched 1-0 loss on the TV with his family. What did he do when he got home??

Fielder got a couple of hits today, but Ajax is still struggling. What has Avila done for us lately?? The bottom 3 of the lineup went hitless today.

Miggy....anybody thinks we should have sat him in August for 15 games??

Knowing hindsight is 20/20 but knowing Justin had a better chance of winning at Co-am and that he's been as shakey as Porcello all season and you wanted him to bring it strong in the post season why didn't you save him for Co-am ? He wasted a gem !

If they lose tomorrow, the whole season will be a waste....and it will prove that in the end, that maybe the Central division was the weakest in the league.

Who cares where Verlander was at when he wasted a gem? It could have happened at either park.
