Weather is NOT the issue - MLB scheduling is!!! IF MLB would schedule just EIGHT double headers from June 1st on, the season wouldn't have to start until April 8th - 10th at the earliest, then you could open 8 east/North city teams in dome or southern/west states: MINN, DETROIT, NY, BOST, CHI, CLEVE, BALT -
would play at TOR, KC, OAK, SEAT, LA, TEX, HOUST OR TAMPA BAY with one of those teams playing NL team...so simple ..but nothing simple will come to those who put money over common sense.

I thought Tigs were snowed out ?
They split a pair with Cleve.
Sanchez with the hard luck loss. Torii's gotta lay down that bunt.

Doubleheaders are passé. They are a last resort for makeup games nowadays. I don't think players or owners like doubleheaders.

Not a great night for the Tigs.

Smyly gives up 8 baserunners and 4 runs in only 3.0 innings. LuPu comes in and allows 7 more by the 5th inning.

Trout with a single, a double, a walk, 2 RBI, a stolen base, and 2 runs in 4 plate appearances.

On the bright side, Kinsler is still red hot. 3-5 tonight and batting .351 on the season in the leadoff spot.

56 plate appearances this year so far for Miggy:
    7 singles
    4 doubles
    0 triples
    1 home run
    4 walks
    40 outs

    Rough start.

I think he's just slumping. He mentioned something about how his mechanics are terrible right now.

AL central looks like a 5-way tie for last place.
We need more than one hot hitter right now.
I'll be curious to see our record after 40 games.

Seems like we are missing some power in the lineup. 11 homers in 13 games, whereas the Angels lead the majors with 27 going into today's game.

Just remember despite out hitting the Red Sox last year in the ALCS. ...it was the Sox long ball that beat us.

Today we get one from Nick to take lead.....but with the potent Angels. ..Max will need some additional supportfrom both the offense and ppossibly the bullpen in the end.

too many pitches thrown by our starters thru 5 or 6 innings...but i feel they just stretching out their arms, Did u also notice the game was on the new FOX SPORTS ONE network? Like I said before, it wont be long til all national telecasts will be off network TV.

Took me a few minutes to find the game on FS1 too. It was good that they brought in both Tigers and Angel announcers to provide a home flavor.

May have been the Tigers best game of the season, except Joe Nathan can never be perfect and gave up the solo shot to Pujols in the ninth.

Max was great, the Tigers went yard twice and the banged out 10 hits and relief work was good. (except the homer). Mike Trout 4 k's for the first time in his career and the Tiger break the 10 game losing streak to the Angels. In the words of Ice Cube...it was a good day!

Nathan's ERA is 8.1..... You have more confidence in your closer when he has an era of less than 2.50, more so when he is over 8..

by the way my twitter handle in @drebaby
