Nice to see a visiting team take advantage of Pesky Pole yesterday. Cheapest home run in baseball.

You expected them better than 26-12 with the best record in the MLB right now?

We're in the midst of a seventeen consecutive game stretch. Must be exhausting. Ausmus needs to keep it in mind.

Victor with 2 run jack, 3-1 Tigs but Sanchez looks hitable.

Only a couple of balls hit hard off Sanchez. Five innings with only one earned run. Not bad after a month off.

A fun little fact... The Tigers have 11 pitchers on their active roster that have an ERA under the league average (3.81), and one (Coke) above it (7.45). Coke's only role seems to be "we're up by a bunch of runs and need to rest some pitchers, so why not?"

he said 'exceeded' all expectations..i was saying they didnt exceed MY expectations ...they are within range or PAST the pace to win 96 games..My prediction is WELL within range so they wont exceed that until they win 97.

The only thing sweeter than sweeping three games from the Red Sux in Boston would have been sweeping four. Tigers got them at the right time. Ortiz is the only guy hitting.

Once again, Jeff tells Brad...hey lets try Coke again....and you know the story....same as it ever was... JD Martinez gets Coke him off the hook with a long ball to tie it....now it's up to the team that got little or no sleep last night to play extra innings and try to keep the streak alive..

Smyly was off tonight. Got out of several jams. Too bad we couldn't capitalize. Good to see a clutch HR by jd martinez.

Smyly was lousy. That is about what I expect from the fifth starter. I would like to see some competition for that fifth spot.

Al Al gave up the walk off.
    Good game, 4-5 in 10

Catching for him looks like a chore with that downward angle and all the balls in the dirt. Avila did a nice job.

Robbie Ray has looked great in two starts. He will get another start this Thursday. He definitely is adding some competition for that fifth spot.

Nothing wrong with a little competition. Cream rises to the top.
