Agreed. Plus, it's a long season. Guys will get knicked up or sore. Having a decent 6th starter is a nice luxury. Losing Fister is not looking like a big deal right now.

still sticking to my 'you cant win it all' policy BUT :

    - getting there 2 hours before game starts was bogus...
    - pitchers give up 15 hits..proves their legs weren't in it
    - Avila shouldn't have started, gotta rest him on travel days
    - Coke for' two' innings??? I told yall: He is being set up for failure
    - 3-2 pitch to Cleveland's only hitter from a right handed pitcher with raburn on deck??
I just think we (ausmus) wasnt in this game mentally, but as throw away games go, we showed a lot of heart just staying in it.
A Great Cleveland would have won 12-4!! After getting swept by the A's, they were do...

    they won- ho hum.....

BOSOX just resigned Drew.....Tigers really need to find a bat for the 5 hole now because Victor is going to see nada come June to October with Jackson batting 5th.

Don't forget about Dirks. We need another lefty hitter. He'll be back.

Stephen Drew is mediocre, at best. He bats about .250, has no power, and has no speed. I'm glad the Tigers didn't pursue him. The Red Sox offered him $14 million last year and he turned it down. Now, he takes a $4 million hit and still gets $10 million out of Boston.

the most awful game of the year................

bad start with 2 dropped pop ups
    max blows 4 run lead
    poor hitting with RISP
    CABRERA thrown out
    Nathan with overdue blown save
no one to pinch hit for Worth on three occasions
I guess Torii was on vacation
Coke left in for two innings AGAIN - screws up AGAIN
    Al B is an idiot
lose on a high school balk call
A 6 HOUR GAME ON GET AWAY DAY!!!
    1PM START TOMORROW ????

how bad must the Indians be to have kept Tigers in this game?

Coke's days are numbered. They have to be. Talk about highs (sweeping Boston) and lows (getting swept in Cleveland).

Bottomline it was not a great week for any of our pitching staff from the starters to the bullpen this week allowing the Indians to not only out score us, but they out hit us getting double digit hits in all three games of the sweep.

Any game that Coke plays in can be considered either a loss or a win that was not as close as it appeared. I am certain the guy has no more than one or two, 1-2-3 innings the whole season.

Two of the Indian losses came with Al-Al on the mound, this series, but not before Coke showed up earlier in the game and put base runners on that eventually crossed the plate.

Note to equipment/apparrel man....don't ever allow Tigers to dress in public in the Tiger leotards or whatever they were called. That apparel got plenty of play on TV and internet along with 10 game road trip etc....now we get swept out to a team that had just been swept over the weekend....and probably will give them some momentaum.

Maybe the Tigers were looking too far ahead to facing Prince Fielder and got distracted.

I don't understand why Coke is still on the roster.

It looks like Prince is afraid to come play us.

Prince Fielder won't travel with Rangers to Detroit for Tigers series | The Detroit News

Tigers' front office is a loyal bunch, I guess. Coke has pitched well in the playoffs. That is the ONLY explanation I can come up with here.

Yes, they need to burn the Zubaz gear and every photo associated with it. I know it won't happen, but could you imagine if they got swept again? Those last two weeks of brazing Tigers would be all for naught.

I thinking they rebound and take 2 of 3 from the Rangers the rest of the weekend.....although it would be nice to restore order in the pitching ranks by not giving more than 3 runs the rest of the series.

Where are those Oriole and Red Sox batters when we need them??
