How can they keep sending Nathan out there? The signing was a bust. Phil Coke dominates him stat-wise at this point.

Looks like the sweep is in play for the Indians.....especially with Smyly up next on the mound. Ausmus still doesn't know when to pull, yank of hold them. The RISP was 0- for 8 tonight. The batters need to either go yard or figure out how move runners aound the horn. Oh by the way find a another closer soon and put Nathan in only when the game is out of hand.

Streak buster Smyly comes through with 7 innings of good pitching and old man Hunter delivers a 2 run jack to supply all the offense that was needed. Still 26-25 at home does not a championship make....glad they are doing well on the road.

Remember that time that SF Giant had to have the bone scraped on his throwing arm because it had a little disease on it ?
Then he tries a side arm pitch and snaps his arm ! Guttsy !

As bad as Nathan has been, I was happy about the signing at the time. Not sure if it's a physical issue (like Tas said, "He's old) or a mental (confidence) issue with him. ERA over 6 is cringe worthy.

Nathan is just inconsistent and seems to get nervous or lose confidence when that first batter gets on base. I read that he stormed out Saturday night after the game and did not answer any media questions. I was shocked when he was brought back in last night, but I guess Brad was giving him a vote of confidence.

Still a deal needs to be done so we don't fall in the 2012 Papa Grande edge of seat nervousness.

Justin, Joba, Joe and AL/AL hold the DBacks to 3 runs and the Tigers stretch their lead to 6.5 games as both the Indians and Royals lose.

JV must have learned a few things from Kate as he had a solid game

An almost near dead center hr by Miggy that turned in to long single resulted in the winning RBI. Miggy admiring what appeared to be a home run broke into the HR trot before realizing that it was not a homer and was tossed out at second in a reviewed play that was held up.

Ajax had two hits, and HR and scored the winning run on a double in the 7th as the Tigers recorded their 29th road victory vs 16 losses. Miggy and Martinez both played the infield at 3rd and 1st since the DH wasn't in play tonight.
