Miggy is always a runner in scoring position.

Tigs lose 2-1 to Yanks, some beginner pitcher 6 hit Tigs. Scherzer 9 hits over 7 inning took the loss, 13-4. Coke pitched but didn't throw it away.

Unfortunately both he and the Tigers were once again the victim of the ESPN broadcast curse and lose 2-1.

Miggy came up twice and left batters on base. The rest of the Tigers managed six hits, and you knew there was a bad omen after loading the bases in the second with no outs only to see the 7-8-9 batters strike out. The Tigers struck out 11 times.

A top ten catch by new center fielder Carerra kept the game close for a shakey Scherzer but the Tiger bats were either in awe of the ESPN cameras or Justin girlfriend Kate Upton who sat right behind the Tiger dugout jiggling, I mean flashing her smile to all of the players and camera men.

The Yankees will be the first team to face the last three AL CYA winners three games in a row, and have already taken out Max. Yankee pitcher McCarthy struckout 8 tigers and had most of the other batters grounding out.

Avila is freakin terrible at the plate. He is our biggest liability now.

It's umpossible to bench him because of his work with the starters and his reliable D.

Let's see how it goes with Price tomorrow night

Kelly, avila, romine was not a promising comeback crew for the 9th. Davis as a pinch hitter was a no brainer. Carrera looks pretty good.

Tigers sign Jim Johnson to minor league deal???? WHY?????? I'll tell you why...TO GET inside intel on the A's...plain and simple!

Johnson posted a 7.14 earned-run average in 38 appearances for the A's, allowing 60 hits and 23 walks in 40.1 innings, making for a rather unsightly WHIP of 2.058. That WHIP is more than double what he gave up just two years ago.

TWO baseball questions for you on the heels of Zeke Carrera's great catch and tonights Kershaw vs Trout matchup???

What are the greatest defensive plays you've ever seen(not WATCHED on ESPN either-you saw it live or while watching the game)

    and

The pitching matchup u would like to see most??? (Someone on Twitter said Randy Johnson vs Ted Williams or Bob Gibson vs Barry Bonds- I have to admit those are great ones)

At a SFG game sitting down deep 1st base line [outfield]. And the ball flew to the left fielder but instead of catching it he let it go by and jam against the bottom of the fence and the dirt ???!
I actually didn't see the non-catch because it should've been routine. I just saw it come to a dead stop.!!!

I bet Price gets shelled. Usually happens to a new guy.

Torii just got drilled in the left hand. Looked like he was in a lot of pain coming out. Not good

Nice win. Price went 8.2 and out pen was great. Joba, and Soria are a strong duo. Add verlander as the closer and we are a playoff force!

Alex Avila , feeling the pressure of the Tigers/ PF fans comes thru knocking in the game tying run and then hits the winning homer in the 12th.

Great pitching by Price despite giving up 3 runs, a couple via the long ball. He struck out 10 and took the pressure off 7th and 8th inning screw-ups in Al/Al and Coke. As TaS indicated the bull pen looked great out there tonight as everyone is still waiting for the Tiger big guns to break out their slump.

Luckily it was the bottom of the lineup in Avila and Romine who provided the power along with Vmart in the middle of the lineup. The team struck out 10 times again tonight.

Tomorrow night CYA # 3 (JV ) pitches and hopefully he pulls through with the win, which would really get this team going.

Perhaps the Tigers should hire Arnie Kander to bulk those guys up.
