No Morris, Whitaker or Trammell...in this year's Baseball HOF class

...Only Braves Tom Glavine, Greg Maddux and White Sox slugger Frank Thomas get in this year.....

    Whittaker had the most talent.
Trammell had the heart of a Lion Tiger.
    Morris was the biggest jackass.

He once said this...To a female reporter who wanted an interview "I don't talk to women when I'm naked unless they're on top of me or I'm on top of them."

If I were to pick one...I'd go with Trammell

Morris DID win the most games in the 1980s with 162 victories, but he only won 6 in 1989...
Problem is...Morris gave up the most earned runs...most Home Runs...and most hits of the 1980s.

    Trammel should be considered though.

They should do a 2nd-shortstop category and put both in.

If you compare statistics of Trammell and Whitaker to other infielders like Bill Mazeroski (.260), Pee Wee Reese (BA .269), Phil Rizzuto (BA .273), all HOFers, I guess they should be in. But I think HOFers should have lifetime averages of .300 or better or pretty close, like Kaline at .297. If not, they have to be awesome in the field or great team leaders. I think Reese and Rizzuto fall under that category. Mazeroski never batted over .300 for one season. Not once. He hit a big homer in the 1960 Series. That is what he's known for. And don't get me started on Ozzie Smith (BA .262). If Ozzie is in, Bill Buckner should be in (BA .289 and 2700 hits). Despite his huge flub, Buckner fielded at .991 clip for his career. Pretty good.

Lou had power. Going by WAR, he should be in.

Well, I was sorta being facetious there Green man. Or perhaps a fascist pig. Who knows? :)

But either way, Reese and Rizutto would be there too. It would actually be a cool category but they aren't looking for cool.

They don't have any hard objective standard for entrance do they because I'm pretty sure favoritism is involved sometimes. I think they prefer it that way.

I always felt that Whittaker was capable of a career.300 ave., 3,000 hits, and 300 HRs.....

Favortism, I agree. Back when Reese and Rizutto were playing, the media were a little bit more chummy with the players, kinda like Ahmad Rashad and Michael Jordan.

Looks like Verlander is getting geared up for spring training with Kate Upton The two were spotted a pre-super bowl party. So he still the most valuable pitcher on the Tigers squad in Kate's eyes.

It really is a dilemma: Would you rather be a mediocre pitcher and date Kate Upton or be a great pitcher and not date Kate Upton?

Sounds like Morris was in the shower when that happened.

Morris won WS with 2 teams. I don't know why they dog him.

Honestly, you gotta take being the great pitcher and settle for having any other girl in the world on a nightly basis.
