    I wanted to resist.
    I tried to resist.
In the end, I could not resist.

Quit taking shots at Rodney White.
I made him my avatar since he was our last #9 pick.

I liked Rodney. He could run and gun with the best of them.

What was Rodney White's problem? I never was very clear on it.

Oh man. Where do I start?

He didn't end up making us forget that Mike Jordan ever existed.
He was caught motoring through downtown Washington DC in a convertible firing shot after shot into the air from a handgun.
He was arrested last year in North Carolina for felony manufacture of marijuana, along with 4 other charges.

In general, I'd say it's good to have quick hands, but in Rodney's case it was almost a curse. His hands were actually too quick for the NBA.

It was the perfect bust from a team chemistry perspective, guys like Sharpe doesn't lose any sleep over riding the pine.

I would rather us draft a SG/SF if available. I'd take PJ3 over Leonard, Henson, Zeller and Sullinger. This pick truly scares me, this is one draft where where being in the 7th spot would help insure a much better pick.

I don't think the Pistons have nearly enough talent. My statement was made in the context of trading a #9 for #14 and #16 or whatever. If you could leverage a trade down to include moving some established talent then that changes the whole picture.

Also, its difficult to divest yourself from your signings. There is only one ball and only 48 minutes. We already had a full roster.

If you guys don't want a guy who shoots one thousand percent on our team, then you are on some sort of pipe.

Based on that clip, the kid should be good for 40 points per game.

    response to the responses...

#1) It's rare for a post-20 pick to even be in the NBA for three years. It's rare for someone picked outside of the top 10 to be worth anything after five years. The NFL/"New England Patriot" strategy is not...of any use.

#2) We'll probably end up having to trade up for Meyers Leonard if we want him. Not down.

#3) Charlie V is stronger and tougher than Henson. He is. He actually is. He actually is.

So essentially, Henson is softer than papyrus after 2 millenia.

If Drummond falls that deep, he is a no brainer.

If only he can have the opportunity to have that first bounce off the floor. In a sense, if all you wanted was a face-up...then take Daye from 10 feet further out.

IF Drummond drops, I agree it's a no brainer.
Sullinger/Zeller looked like they couldn't move all that well laterally.
Perry Jones possibly is a small forward. Not a polished SF, but could be a matchup nightmare IF he gets it together. He's got all the physical tools - his interview will be a huge factor in getting a team to take a leap of faith on him.
Henson looked fine outside of the strength aspect. He apparently hurt his ankle - possibly by trying to guard Royce White down in the post on the first day of the combine. Seemed like a nice guy.
Leonard - Always wary of guys that shoot up the charts after combine measurements come. Meh, very meh. If we were picking 15-20 instead of 9, he might be more worth a look.
Moultrie - has all the athletic tools of a Perry Jones without the questions about his motor/position in the NBA. Apparently has a bit of trouble reigning in his emotions.
Draymond Green is awesome in interviews.
Fad Chord copped to having no idea who the Pistons are going for - which is a good thing imo. I seem to recall everyone and their mama knowing we were taking Daye a few years back; didn't work out so well.

DraftExpress: NBA Combine Athletic Testing Results Released

Results on bench pressing, 3/4 court speed, agility lane, etc.

I was bored so I did this.. (i'm not very good with photoshop so the division lines are messed up)

Open it on another window so you can watch it better.

Don't pay attention to the yellow shadow on some blocks or the shadow on Leonard.

Henson did pretty bad and I'm devastated for that, I thought he could be what we need but his athleticism isn't impressive.

Barnes beat MKG in all the athletics categories.

I thought to put in Greg Monroe measures from the 2010 pre-draft workout to have someone who we all know very well, to compare all this prospects.

Maybe I Forgot to put some players.. but in the link in draftexpress you can look for them.

Monroe has small hands. He needs to get in the weight room and start trying to stretch those out.
