I'm wary of these North Carolina guys like Henson who seem to get lost in the shuffle in college. (I'm presumIng this is the case because I don't watch college ball and I've never heard of him.)

This guy is 3 years older than Ty Chandler when he was measured. He should be a lot bigger.

    I totally agree.
Everyone knows that true bawlers are one and done.
If a guy isn't ready to leave academia after 1 year, he's a scrub.

When Henson was Chandler's draft age, he only weighed 165 lbs or something crazy like that.

You can't go by weight when you are 18 that much...Cheikh Samb weighed 116 when he was that age.

Judging by baseball players, athletes don't really put on much muscle until they are in their mid 30's.

I do not think it is possible for me to have less faith in the Pistons drafting a kid who needs to develop his game in any way. I'd have more faith if 3 people from here were randomly picked to work with him.

lol .. I'm not sure about that.. Check, for example, Thomas Robinson. He was in the bench when the Morris Brothers (Marcus and Markieff) were in Kansas. Now he (And Taylor and Whitey) take the team to the Finals of the NCAA, and Robinson would be a top 5 pick.

Harrison Barnes is another example of that.

Other are: Kawhi Leonard, Derrick Williams, Paul George, Evan Turner (who spent 3 years in college), James Harden, Stephen Curry (also 3 years), Blake Griffin, Russell Westbrook, Lamarcus Aldridge, Brandon Roy..

Of course, there are a lot of sophomores, or juniors or seniors that were crappy players, but also freshmen that were not that good like Anthony Randolph, Xavier Henry, Marvin Williams, Eric Bledsoe, Daniel Orton, Hassan Whiteside, Byron Mullens, Kosta Koufus, Donte Greene and more..

(I was kidding about all that SJ.)

Besides, everyone knows that if you're not NBA ready by 7th grade, you have no future playing hoops. 13 is the new 30 in NBA terms. School and fancy book learning is for League Minimum guys without shoe deals. They can use all those book smarts to blog about the behind the scenes stuff that goes on in practice and earn some extra cheddar selling online advertising.

Arnett Moultrie worked out for us yesterday and this is my story on reading up on the reports of that workout:
    :typing:...:ranger:...:reading:...:smash:...

yes all that because I couldn't find the tumbleweeds emoticon.

When Moultrie was asked where he wanted to go, without hesitation, he said Detroit. Who wants to come to Detroit? Having someone excited to play next to Monroe is a big plus to go along with athleticism (very good) and a solid offensive skill set. I haven't seen much more than highlights but the talk is he's a 3-4. Jerebko was projected as a late 1st rounder and probably fell because 1. he was foreign and 2. he was a 3-4.

So, Slippy, are you saying you want to draft Moultrie?

I'm sorry! You know I have trouble recognizing sarcasm in english! Sorry!

My preference is Leonard. I'm just putting up stuff on the #9 prospects. No one is a sure-fire lock for us. I just have fun talking all our draft options. I never get a grasp on the 2nd round so I don't speculate on those.

I guess it is good that he didn't hesitate, but how hard is it to rattle off the name of the city where you just worked out?

It would be something if he said, "Memphis, LA, anywhere but here. This place blows."

Henson looked like he was really thinking to come up with good things to say about Sacramento. i wish I was a draft prospect just so that I can say "Yeah, Sacramento is not that great but its close to Stockton." Everyone would go WTF!!! Cuz theres even less to say about it.

He and Henson are my preferences too if Drummond is off the board.
