NBA's Feb. 19 trading deadline could be busy - Chris Mannix - SI.com Amare,Chris Kamman or Monta Ellis are good targets in the 19 february deadline market. The only problem is we will not have two seassons of transiction to insert young people of quality.
http://www.sohood.com/crib/2009/02/09/nets-stoudemire-bulls-cavs/ Can read more there, here are the main headlines Nets talk to Suns about Amare Stoudemire. ( In this news its mentioned "Though many see Detroit as the favorite" ) Hornets trading Tyson Chandler? Bucks dealing Richard Jefferson?. Cavs want Clips Camby. Pistons dealing Tayshaun Prince? Wizards Butler and Jamison drawing trade interest. Kings Salmons to Thunder or Spurs?. Bulls working to get Suns Stoudemire.
Warriors are chasing Amare now, and if they fail sources are saying they will still be looking for a young PF/C. I assume they be parting ways with Monta Ellis to get a deal like that. Yes. Rasheed Wallace was mentioned before. And the latest is that they might move Chandler for Shawn Marion
If we still had Billups we would have so much more room to trade with, now we are stuck with AI we would have to trade Prince as he is the only player anyone would want besides Rip. What a hole we have put ourselves in. What they were thinking when they got rid of Billups I'll never know. Like the saying goes a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. If we trade Prince we'll be stuck with 3 guys the wrong side of 30 a frustrated star in Rip and few prospects for the future. ?????
I wonder about this saying. I mean, obviously, I get what it means and I get the way BB4L11 is using it. But it's not as much of a show-stopper (or debate-ender) as it might seem. What if I really really need two birds and having one bird doesn't help me at all? In that case, I might feel like I've got little to lose and everything to gain by giving up the bird in my hand for the chance - however remote -- at the two in the bush. We'll now return you to our regularly scheduled programming.
Here is analysis by hoopsworld on the needs of each team in the west. What Possible trades they might be lookin for. http://www.hoopsworld.com/Story.asp?story_id=11533
A rugged rebounder with no history of guns or motorbikes would be our best addition. Interesting that neither Jason Williams, Jason (Jay) Williams, nor Jayson Williams would qualify under those criteria. Hmmm.....
Knicks are looking for anthony randolph(warriors) and might trade david lee. A deal might work there.
Unfreaking believable Ramon Sessions - Milwaukee Bucks - News - NBA - Yahoo! Sports FYI, Sessions had 17 assists last night.
"The Pistons are likely to tough it out with the current roster, which when healthy is still strong enough to win a playoff series." Oh man. How F'd up is THAT?
That's what I have been hinting at for some time. No one wants to be locked into long term contracts/max deals right now. I'll post more on this during the weekend.
