This summer the Pistons will likely improve (hopefully not decline) through free agency. However Joe can pull off maybe a trade or possibly 2. If anyone sees a reasonable trade that is good for BOTH teams post it.

Could be that Joe goes the trade route instead of adding a FA...
If you add an MLE player you haven't cleared a roster spot.... and you're closer to the hard cap.

I know this sounds like blasphemy but can we get someone like Iverson? Can we package a Chauncey deal? Here is where I am coming from. We need someone who can get into the paint and someone who can guard the perimeter. Iverson could do that. Maybe Chaucey was just tired but I am concerned as he is not that, that young. The league is rewarding quick guards with the new rules.

Everyone talks about trading for KG. Can this be done in any plausible way?

A deal like that would be extremely hard to do, but Joe D. said he'll try to get a post player or penetrator brcause this team relied too much on the perimeter. A penetartor off the bench would be just fine. he'd give the exact ooposite look of Chauncey and it would be a good tandem. We just have to hope we can get this penetrator.

It's doable but Chauncey's salary is low and he may have a trade bonus or other incentive built in that makes his salary a "kicker". You're looking at Ben + CB in a sign and trade, Sheed and CB, or start looking at 3 for ones. Forget Tay, he's a Base Year Compensation player which means only half of his contract counts in a trade.

Sheed + Dice. Ben in S&T and Dice. Same as above. You are looking for 3 for one deals after that.

Plausible? Sure if we're being forum GMs. Realistically? You'd have to gut the team.
