The Lions historically get jammed on these controversial plays, and all that should have happen is the 15 yard penalty with the play being reviewed and reversed. You have to wonder if the rule was written for teams like the Lions who will find ways to mess up like this.

You can blame the loss on that play, the rule or the coach throwing out the red flag , or Hanson's foot. The players still seem to be undisciplined as they find ways to lose, which goes back to how the coach in handling the team....if they don't exceed five wins this season, I think it may be time for another new coach. After all his play calling vs the Packers took away a possible win and then yesterdays red flag will be the only thing that everyone will remember two weeks from now....Although when is the last time Hanson missed a FG of significance!

Looks like they might do an in season rule change.

Suh will be under the microscope for his groin kick of the opposing QB.
Our coach did no favors by sidestepping the issue when asked about it.
A suspension would not surprise-or annoy me at this point.
ThE Lions deserve no fan support if players are making bonehead mistakes.
and the coach doesn't reign in their behavior.
I'm ready for a new coach..........Bring in Andy Reid.

I read on some forum that Belechick made the same mistake that Schwartz did earlier in the season and the official picked up his challenge flag and threw it back to him, telling him that it was going to get reviewed in the booth instead.
