Clearly, UM has quarterback issues. Utah made a truckload of mistakes and still beat Big Blue. Can't remember seeing a Michigan team rush so poorly.

Only one senior on offense. Defense gave it up in the first half. I guess this is what rebuilding is like. Haven't had a losing season since 1967. Hopefully, they win some soon. This game was hard to watch.

Michigan lost to an undiciplined Utah team. That's upsetting.

I don't follow college sports, but this game was on at the restaurent my wife and I were at last night, so I saw most of the 4th quarter.

Utah played absolutely terrible football in the 4th. They were chocking so bad that they were just begging U of M to beat them.

Bottom line, Rodriquez tried to implement and introduce a spread offense to a team that had no spread offense players...The whole offense was out of sync with Nick Sheridan who lofted passes in the air that were to long and were all eligible for possible pick off. He played the shotgun and still rushed either passing or handing off the rock. When is the last time a Michigan team was held to less than 50 yards rushing and it wasn't playing a higher tiered team?

The second QB seemed to be able to run the offense a little better, but still over thru two WR in the two most critical passes at the end of the game.

The defense was really a disappointment because if they had =held serve, the Wolves could have stolen this game. On the other hand if the Utes had not had so many mistakes and penalties, the could have won this game by 20.....:sssh:

Long season for the Wolves, unless there is a student sitting on campus that has the QB skills and has not walked by the football field yet:)

Rich bring the spread offense up to now has been pure fail. But I'm loving Sam McGuffie, he's is DOING AMAZING for his freshman year so far. Good pick up by the Wolverines.

When I said the Wolverines would win 6 games this season, I might have been too optimistic.

Kinda sad not to have ex-wolverine Tom Brady playing currently.
We need another UM QB to pick up the slack.

Brian Griese against the Bears. DA BEARS...A good defensive team...

    Overtime victory for Tampa Bay.

he was 38 of 67 for 407 yards.

Tampa Bay runners only got 17 carries for a 2.8 yard average.

67 pass attempts in one game. He carried his team today..

    GO BLUE !!!

I just hacked into Rich Rodriguez e-mail today and there was an e-mail from Lloyd Carr that said one thing

:gun1:Northwestern Wildcats 4-0 and surging, Michigan Wolverines 1-2 and falling....

UM'ers have to feel a little better after nicking the #9 Badgers. Pretty good 2nd half comeback today, but they almost blew it at the end.

I quit watching at halftime. Now, I gotta see the highlights.

Memo to Rich Rodriguez: Gear your offense around the talent you have, not the other way around. In other words, RR has been trying to shove a triangle into a circular hole and it ain't working. Again, I didn't see the second half.

I think one of the offensive coaches listened to what Bob Griese was saying in the first half which was these young freshman are not talented enough to run the spread offense.

They kind of abandoned it somewhat midway through the third qtr and through more than they did in the first half.

Wisconsin's offense slowed and Michigans D finally woke up, but then the D reverted back to form and almost blew in the last 90 seconds.

Nice win after giving up 5 turnovers in the first half.

Nice first quarter for the Wolverines and then it went downhill the rest of the afternoon.

Defense got torched for long plays..most of them on third down and the offense was only able to score six points during the last three quarters of play with no consistency in their young QB.. mid range passes were either to long, or thrown to no one...

What the Wolverines needed was a QB like Juice Williams on their side of the ball because whom they have now is not cutting it, no matter if they are freshmen or not.. I thnki Juice had more total yards than the entire Wolverine team.

Then there is the D......To give up 45 points on their own field after stopping the Badgers last week reverts back to my original prediction of no more than 4 wins this season and at this point they may get victory # 3 vs Toledo next week, but it is anybody guess if they win another Big 10 game....maybe at Purdue???

Well said, Dre. This team has trouble on both sides of the ball.

Lean year for UM fans, but UMers should not complain. The school has had a lot of winning seasons.

Indeed. I think everyone realizes this year is just sort of a rebuilding year. Good times are down the road. :)

I figure the good times end next week...if not, the following week for sure. :(

scUM has a pretty easy schedule remaining IMO. I think they will beat Toledo High School by like 56-3. Don't be surprised if they end up with a better record than Sparty.

Sparty has talent, but I don't think they've figured out how to win. Plus the schedule sux. They'll wet their pants when they walk in the big house, as usual.
