The new chat is setup, and I will make a new thread announcing it. We will need some people to play with it and give some feedback. Chat will work a bit differently (and I hope better) in the future.

Also, this is a heads up that I am planning to add some advertising. I will try to make it unobtrusive, like when we last had ads 5 years ago. You're welcome to give feedback on this matter.

    1. So will you change the name of the forum ? Since it won't be Piston specific ?
you could call it " Basketball Forum W.M.L.I.A.P.S."
"Wanting More League Input As Pistons Sleep"
    2. Eventually the Pistons will rise again, will you need to change it back ?
    3. Don't do it !

We're just going to merge in the few NBA-league threads in here so they get some attention too.

Likewise, the guys who care about the Wings are usually also guys who care about the Tigers and Lions. We're going to get those discussions closer together as well.

This will always be Pistons forum because the people here care about the Pistons.

Because I want you guys to create more content, and I think that will be easier to do, if when you're looking at Lions threads, you see an interesting Red Wings thread as well, and likewise, when you're posting about the Pistons coaching position, you decide to comment on last night's NBA playoff games.

Maybe my hunch is wrong. If that's so, and there is some negative effect, I will reverse course. This is a very low risk move with a potential high upside.

I like that idea....seems like only a select few us make commentary on the lions, tigers or Wings. Or Wolverine, spartans or even the on going playoffs. I know it is a Piston forum. ..but there is a wide world of sports we can talk about including the other teams that share Detroit sports venues

    sounds disorganized
now I'll need to "reply" to everything or I'll sound like psycho babble except to the poster.

Perhaps, but a valid point is being made about the need for replies. I have mixed feelings about this.

Do not underestimate the closeness of space. It's not all numbers...or is it?

Sounds good to me. I use the What's New button so the only time I visit the different forums is when I'm starting a new thread.

What's New will now contain a hodgepog of misc. post, about 25 diff. topics including Moogs new thread. Lots a luck getting a consensus Moog.
Be like DetNews all over again. Back up/pick through 50 posts to get your starting point.
It's not broke Scoe, don't fix it. You tinkerer.

Calm down. I don't think you have any idea of what Roscoe is doing.

    No threads are being merged.

Roscoe is taking existing threads and moving them into different "folders" (forums).

"What's New" will work EXACTLY the same way it did before. Each thread will look EXACTLY the same way they did before. The threads will be kept in a different place in the forum folder structure, that's the only change.
