The Pistons are like Rocky Balboa and the Spurs are like Clubber Lang. Before these two met Rocky had the glory and the Championship belt, but when the two heavy weights fought, Rocky wasn't prepared and lost.

Just like Rocky the Pistons lose their old cantankerous coach, seeya Mickey errr Larry and a more youthful and determined coach offers his services.

With hard work, a ton of perserverance and with the assistance of his coach, Rocky takes back the title. I tried to fit in a Darko analogy, but I couldn't find one. Darko can be Thunderlips I guess.

Darko can be a new look? remember how rocky came out and showed something nobody had ever seen before... he always had it, just never had a trainer that utilized it

It's Not A Good Analogy, And Yet --

in my mind's eye I am seeing the Pistons proudly strapping on their gold belts as Survivor sings, "You trade your passion for glory ..."

Damn you, Davia-GRap! That's going to be in my head all day now.
