This year, I am planning on coming to The Palace for 2 or 3 games. This will likely be in either March (LA, Atlanta, Toronto in a 3 game home stand) or April (Milwaukee, Chicago, Cleveland home stretch), looking at the schedule.

I have NEVER been to Detroit or Auburn Hills. Can someone tell me how best to work this, logistically?

Afterwards I'll probably head to New York for a week to make more of a holiday of it.

One thing that is for sure is that obtaining tickets WILL NOT be a problem eh!

The main thing I'm interested in learning about is where to base myself - I'm aware that AH is about 30 miles from Detroit? I'm also guessing that there is less to do in AH than Detroit?

Be sure to set aside a day or two to visit Clawson.

Send me a message if you want Rocastle. I visited Detroit 3 years ago to see some games doing the same thing you are thinking of doing.

Auburn Hills is a hike from Detroit. Let me know what kind of things you want to do/see when you are there, and I can give you some suggestions.

Maybe you know this already but you have to rent a car here as public transportation is not very good and things are too spread out. You will probably fly into Romulas which is 25 or so miles from Detroit and something like 40 miles from Auburn Hills.

What are some good things to see? In Dearborn is Henry Ford auto museum and Green filed village. Detroit ( as in the City ) has some museums but I am not sure which ones are still open.

I know that castles are a dime a dozen in the UK but you should plan on hitting up a White Castle for lunch at least once while in the 'D'.
