Detroit Pistons vs New Jersey Nets Wednesday April 6 7:30 pm Local TV: FS Detroit Nat'l TV: Radio: WWJ 950 AM Chat is open!!!! http://www.pistonsforum.com/playoff-chat/
This game could have HUGE lottery implications. The Pistons (#7) trail the Nets (#6) by only 2 games right now in the race for the worst record. The #6 team has a 6.3% chance of #1 pick and a 21.5% chance of a top 3 pick. The #7 team has a 4.3% chance of a #1 pick and a 15.0% chance of a top 3 pick. By the way, the #8 position seems to be out of reach as the Clippers have managed to win a few games lately (4 games behind Detroit with 5 games left).
Is Deron Williams healthy? He better be thinking about the fact that the more they lose, the better pick his former team will get (the Jazz own this pick). I know, I'm grasping at straws here.
I see you fail to understand the logic in the draft lottery system so I'm gonna break it down and make it real easy for you: The more games a team win, the less lottery tickets they get - i.e. to increase the amount of wins we need less lottery tickets.
I thought about that but I wasn't totally convinced that we might just have a better shot at tanking if they actually play. I'm too confused to watch this game tonight. I can't ever remember a time where I actually rooted for another team to beat our Pistons. I realize that we only stand to move up one slot in the draft but we need all of the help that we can get at this point.
Don't actually root for the Nets. Just watch the game with indifference. Your negative karma could actually help the Pistons win the game.
If Rodney really tossed his uniforn into the crowd, they should give him a teal one and make him play. Of course off the bench, with 8 minutes left....
This game will be an emotional one for me...one of the last times to see John Kuester on the Piston sidelines.
It's for games like this Joe brought in Chaz. Put him in the starting lineup and let him work his magic. Watch him ANNIHILATE the Pistons D.
I might be remembering this wrong but wasn't it Chazzy Garbazzy that somehow turned into the 2nd coming of Bernard King and lead the Pistons to a season ending winning streak that cost us a couple of draft spots last year??? It worked out ok but...
At all? I checked LP this morning and saw no Piston game. They're not even showing it in NJ? That's a Y-U-G-E market!
In this day and age, how many professional sporting events are there that aren't televised? I'm going to go on the assumption this this game is the only one.
