Detroit Pistons vs Orlando Magic Sunday January 31 6:00 pm Local TV: FS Detroit Nat'l TV: Radio: 950 WWJ
JJ probably won't start, because he shows too much energy. That's OK, since I really want to see if Anderson comes in when JJ does. Just a little side-bet with myself, on how these two very talented youngsters play out toward one another.
i KNEW u'd do that........i havent posted on the game yet...but then again...neither has most people a losing team affects us all.
I agree HQ. I don't want to see you stop posting. But you keep giving some of us a hard time for still wanting to follow the Pistons. It ain't easy sitting in chat on a Friday night, just me and Mr. Chen.
You two are so cute. Missed the game. Flashed it on when it was 28-15 or something, and never went back. Unfortunate. They must have played decent at some point to only lose by 5...?
This game was addition by subtraction. Normally losing one of your top scoreres is a bad thing. CV was out so the coach was forced to play JJ for extended mins and he responded with a fine game 18 pts 9 boards, pestering Orlando in the process. Day played 4 mins while we continue to suffer through Prince's integration. BG sucked shooting 2-11 but at least Keuster did not insist on playing him 40 mins so that helped. Had a nice momentum going in the 3rd as the Pistons were up by some but then in comes Chucky. Came close but no cigar. Orlando had been 1-6 I believe on the 2nd game of a back-back. Nice visit to the Palace did the trick. Getting to be a good way for other teams to cure their ills this season.
Magic 91- Pistons 86 Nice valiant effort by the Pistons tonight, but after a nice defensive effort in the 2nd and 3rd qtrs, the Pistons let the Magic come back and prove why the better team pulls these games out with crunch time play.....That foul on Reddick by Rip behind the arc was a killer, even though Taynking hit a three pointer right after wards. However the Pistons failure to hit the winning bucket with less than 15 seconds on the clock and then failure to set up a tying three pointer in the closing seconds was a snapshot on how the season has been for Kuesters Pistons... The Pistons made more shots, had more rebounds and more assists than the Magic, but once again it was the Three ball that did the Pistons in...The Magic hit 10 to our 5...a 15 pt differential there. Great games by Stuckey and JJ, and finally Rip in the 4th, but a really poor shooting night by Bengo.who was..2-11 from the floor. No CV because of a bad back and only 4 mins from Daye,,,just because Taynking had to be in there to showcase his skills.. What ever improvement we saw in Daye two weeks ago has regressed and the Pistons are now 1-13 when the other light skin guy starts..
They actually had a 7 pt lead 59-52 midway through the third after being down 48-45 at the half. So a 14-4 run turned the game around, but they couldn't sustain it the rest of the game..
This was the best that the offense has looked in quite some time. There was some good ball movement, passing, and not quite as many isos.
