I think we might still be able to edge them again. Injuries are destroying their ability to play at the moment.

Hopefully Drum gets about 25 minutes and goes 15/15/7

Will be tougher. If daye goes +19 again, we have a shot.

Does anybody else get the feeling Drum plays his usual 19 minutes tonight and we lose? 91-88

Fans will be flocking to the arena tonight to see one of the most stable 2nd units in the association.

A bit unusual, all our point guards were negative in this game even though we won the game by 9 points.

We started out great, just giving up 2 points in the first 6 minutes of the game. Eventually, we got up 22 points 2 minutes into the 2nd half. Then Tay went down with an ankle injury. And our coach springs into action, making one bad decision after the other. First mistake, bringing in Stuckey for the injured Tay. Singler moves up to small forward. Now we got Stuckey and Knight paired in the backcourt and that lead we once had goes to as low as 8. The basketball played out there is pure ugly. CV, plays a lot, scores a lot - but generally manages to give up points as readily as he makes buckets. Still, with a bit of inside play tonight, Charlie was tolerable at least. Next mistake, he played Knight and Stuckey together so long, he then had to bring Bynum into the game, ruining our D even more. Still, we hung on for the win.

What a basketball mind, our small forward goes down and we end up replacing his minutes with an under 6 foot tall point guard.

Individually, some guys hit shots. Daye and CV each nailed a pair of treys in the first half. Stuckey kept getting to the line. JMAX hit enough shots. CV made some inside shots too and ended up with 19 points.

Drummond got another 11 boards, this time in 24 whole minutes. A bit of foul trouble on Monroe increased his minutes just a bit. We did see Drummond and Monroe get paired up in the 2nd half - as we were losing our lead with that non-functional backcourt coach loves so much.

They got Nene back, but a somewhat injured one. And Beal. Not enough to make a difference really. It was Frank's reaction to Tay getting injured that made the game so even compared to last night.

We could have simply replaced Tay with Daye, and otherwise just kept things the same as in the first half. No need to extensively pair Knight and Stuckey, and no need at all to bring in Bynum off the bench.

Nice to see two wins. Unfortunately, coach won't realize it was against the very worst team in the league and believe instead that the wins validate his poor choices on who he plays. I will say though its great to see Daye in there instead of watching Maggette give up points readily.

Pistons have two more games vs the Wiz this season, we should get least 11 Victories this seasons:biggrin:...

Stuckey and Villuneava came off the bench to hold off the surging Wizards who trailed the Pistons by 19 at the half for the second straight night. I say hold off because the Pistons had another brain fart during the halftime meeting and both the offensive miscues and defensive woes, allowed the Wizards to trim a 22 point lead all the way down to six at one time. In fact a injury to Prince when the Pistons had a 21 point lead turned the game around. Prince tried aa jumper from the left of the hoop and came down on Nene's foot and twisted his ankle. After making one out of two FT's he retired to the locker room with the Pistons up 22...59-37...

The Wizards trim the lead down to 64-58 and surprisingly the Pistons didn't seem to recover and stop the bleeding until Stuckey, Daye and Charlie V reentered the game.

The Pistons maintained a 10 point cushion for most of the 4th qtr, but it wasn't until the end in crunch time where they began to make stops and take control of the games. Max finished with points including 6 during this crunch time. Once again Drummond led the team in boards, but still appeared to be out of synch in getting the ball in the hoop.

18pts and 8 dimes for Stuckey, 19 pts and 7 boards for Charlie.

Got some contributions from both Daye and Bynum tonight too.

Pistons get 4 days off to celebrate this 2 game win streak and celebrate the Holidays with the family. Lets hope that Christmas of 2014, the Pistons will be working the court on national TV.

    Happy Holidays everyone!!!

I had this in last nights thread....copied over....:puke:

The CV of JD's dreams showed up last night again but can it happen more often than once every 10 games? CV is best when he scores inside - out otherwise if he bricks his first 3 attempt, its gonna be a bad night for baldy. As much as people complain about Bynum, Daye, etc. I like seeing them out there. They're our guys for now.
