Yes, pen this one into the win column. The Pistons could play 3 guys and they'd still manage to pull it out.
Sloppy game as the two teams combined for 37 turnovers. Stuckey came back to score 15 pts on almost 19 mins..off the bench. Must lose situation for the Wizards to maintain the probable second place spot in the lotto sweepstakes, and they played like it with 18 turnovers and missing several point blank bunnies. John Wall did his best to keep the Wizards in it especially in the 4th quarter, but local hero Jordan Crawford playing in front of family and friends was a dismal 2-13 shooting scoring 9 points after scoring over 20 points in 9 out of his last 11 games. His mother Sylvia was a classmate of mine at EMU in the mid seventies and I know this is the one time she was pulling against the Pistons hoping Jordan would shine... I was distracted somewhat in the third quarter so not sure if when Monroe went out with 6 mins left in the 3rd qtr if he was injured or not, but I never saw him enter the game again.....Maybe the coach is resting him for the playoffs?? Big Ben played the rest of the game and Wizards tried the hack-a-Ben prior to the two minute mark and much to the pleasure of ET, I mean Sam Cassell and the crowd, Ben made all four freebies. Pistons had a 19 point lead midway through the 3rd, but won by five, 99-94.
no injury I could see and I was also wondering why we had Bengo on the floor to close the game also, Im sure it wasnt for his stellar defense. We GM and BK on the bench and the wiz came roaring back in the 4th. I thought for sure tankmode was in full effect.
I think I'm becoming a Stuckey believer, he's probably the most underrated player we have right now. I'd never thought I write this but if he keeps this up he's close to being a top 5 SG in the league.
Reading about the Griffin / Gasol things reminds me of something from last night - was that a world-class flop Ben took in the 4th or what?
I went to click on the "loss" button as a reflex and saw that we were playing the Generals. It was still a tough decision.
