The Coach talking about stuff on the Stoney & Wojo show, sounds remarkably upbeat for a guy coming off a couple losses.

Good to hear. You want your leader to be upbeat.

Speaking of upbeat, how are you going to replace Gilbert Arenas on your fantasy team? :)

No matter how many times I hear Flip talk, he never accepts any personal responsibility. He said Rip was out of sync and accused him of being undisciplined and searching for shots. The Rip I used to know was one of the most disciplined players in the league and arguably the most consistent Piston scorer over the last 5 years. Isn't it the coach's job to run plays that capitalize on the talents of the players? Now in year 3, I'm STILL waiting to see Flip's offensive genius.

Seems to me the Piston's ship is just drifting without benefit of rudder, sails or even an anchor.

Hamilton was playing bad, forcing shots, making dumb fouls, and just not playing within the team framework. Perhaps it has to do with him coming back from his injury. It has nothing to do with coaching, though. It's just a guy going through some rough stretches.

I think Rip gets out of sync when he has to play with Flip, but then who doesn't?

I also think against the Lakers it was a macho thing for Rip going against Kobe, especially with all the trade talk.

Plus Rip kept getting distracted by the Laker plant in the first row.

    :hoops:

It was funny watching the Sac game seeing Kev Mart move w/out the ball like Rip used to do before Flip got here. Rip is a GREAT off the ball player, but he's a marginal Iso player. Rip running his man for 4 qtrs used to wear the oppositon down because Rips man had to play defense everytime down court whether Rip got the ball or not. Why O Why did Flip screw up something so simple.

You're right. Lack of coaching is more the problem.
