    This is great.

Has the Big Ben gong been retired...or will it come back once in a while now?

O.k., if my spreadsheet is right that makes for 13 players under contract including the three rookies. I'm assuming Oberto's $2mm counts against the cap, but he does not take up a roster spot. That makes for $57,169,417 committed in salaries. So, if there were a point guard sitting around out there who could be had for $530k then the team could pick him up and still remain under this year's cap.

At this point the cap gap doesn't really matter to us since it isn't more than a minimum contract except for a first year rookie, so all we can sign the rest of the way are minimum contract deals anyway.

    Hope that made sense.

You're correct about Oberto. Not all the rookies are signed, I wonder if Joe will sign Jerebko or not.

I think the detnews article says that both Summers and Jerebko signed for $457. Or I misread it.

Yeah, this could be a pretty good move. He can maybe instill some toughness on this young team and it would also be nice to see him win back the fans.

Just one more thing to do IMO...

    Get something for Hamilton.

Basically, Joe finally read the comments on THE FORUM and went with the consensus to add Ben to squad. He may play the Lindsay Hunter part and be the limited player coach and can teach the bigs the importance of D even during practice.

    Good move Joe

Wonder if Stuckey gives up his number to hand back to Ben?

Let me guess, trade Rip for a point guard. (Or a backup small forward.)
