Was that taken in 1985? I will believe any trade when I see it. Hard to get excited again about this. We will see. Hope something happends before the guy retires.
Yeah I say if Stuck can get that ppg somewhere between 17-18 and his fg% between 45-47%, that'd be great. But remember the majority of the shots he takes are not jumpshots. Now, Charlotte interested in Rip? Yeah right, propaganda Bull at it's best.
Yeah...I think we'll have to start a green room thread for that...but I'm happy to show and tell....now WHAT'S UP WITH THIS DEAL???? Can we get something done?!
Hmm, there are only 6 in the NBA this season. I didn't realize that it was so rare. Stuckey is ranked 41st with 44%. Since there are 60 starting guards in the NBA, that puts him in the bottom third in that stat category. 45% would put him around 30th; middle of the pack. 47% would put him around 18th (Ben Gordon territory). I'd be happy with that. It's also very interesting who the 6 guards that are shooting above 50% are: 1. Rajon Rondo (52.9%) 2. Landry Fields-R (51.7%) 3. Arron Afflalo (51.4%) 4. Steve Nash (51.2%) 5. Tony Parker (51.1%) 6. Dwyane Wade (50.0%) Rondo, who is supposed to be a bad shooter, is leading the league. What is even more impressive is his progression. These are his FG% each season since he entered the league: 41.8% 49.2% 50.5% 50.8% 52.9% That guy we dropped because he wasn't a good shooter even though he's good defensively is ranked 3rd. BTW, Rip is ranked 48th.
Well, field goal attempts and role on the team matters. The top three guys on that list aren't taking a lot of shots. Rondo only takes the shots he knows he can make. I don't think there's a magical number, but 45% for Stuckey with his excellent foul drawing and free throw shooting would be very efficient. His 44% this year is sure as heck a monumental improvement from the 40% from last year.
Report: Charlotte Bobcats gauging trade value of Gerald Wallace, Stephen Jackson - ESPN Maybe a three or four team deal in the works?
After an hour and a half of trade scenarios, there's not a single trade I can think of that could land Rip in Charlotte. It just doesn't make sense, not even in multi team scenarios. Charlotte putting Capt Jack and Wallace on the trading block actually hurts us, it's 2 more guys who play the same position as the 2 guys we're trying to trade in the market. Why get Rip when you get Capt Jack who has a less expensive contract.
Wrong players. JD has to get a present from an athlete who can move between 2-3-4-5. That would be Diaw. For a player of beautiful presence and coordination, all he lacks is dependency. With Rip and Tay gone, he can carry (silently and very much as TMAC is doing) and inspire what the team now lacks. He is only 28.
