Re: Five 1st rounders for Melo? in short, poor version of charlie the allstar
Re: Five 1st rounders for Melo? No, Murphy is a rebounding monster and a more accurate 3pt shooter, think about this, would Charlie so maligned if he could pull down 10 rebounds EVERY NIGHT!
Re: Five 1st rounders for Melo? when charlie the allstar picks up his own layup misses 7 times per game - no problem but...first, you have to be in layup area ...charlieeee, where are youuu!!
Re: Five 1st rounders for Melo? Murphy used to kill us with his 3 point shooting. He reminds me of Bill Laimbeer.
Would trading for Steve Nash make sense? He has 1 year left on his contract. The Suns are pretty much out of the playoffs already for this season. Would they want any of our players? Do we want a 37-year old PG? ESPN Insider says that NY, Houston, or OKC would be potential destinations for Nash if he is moved.
Not 100% sure Nash would be cool with a trade to Detroit.
Nash loves PHoenix and doesn't want to get traded. We Need DeAndre Jordan or Chris Kaman.. They can't co-exist in the same roster when Kaman come back from the Injury. Also.. I heard that Blatche is available after a fight with McGee or smoething like that.. SO.. I went to the ESPN Trade Machine and made this: Charlie Villanueva + DaJuan Summers <-----> Andray Blatche + (2nd rounds picks maybe?) It does works withthe salaries and all that..
NOOOOOOOOOO and in case you didn't hear me the first time, NOOOOOOOOOO !!!!!! Blatche's defense is worse than Charlie's, they're like the same player except CV is much better teammate and person. Blatche is CV with Rips attitude Deandre Jordan is a guy I'm sure Joe will target this summer (and overpay for).
Really?? I thought Blatche fits in the "Bad Boy" logo of the Detroit Pistos that we always loved.. I never checked on his defense, but let me say he is a better rebounder than Charlie V is.. ___________ And I'm serious about getting DeAndre Jordan.. he may be end up being a good player and 7 footers who can defend and jump as he does, are hard to find and hard to get. Maybe we will pay him a little more than what he is worth.
What is it with centers in DC? Are they required to fight each other in their contracts?
They need to take that aggression out on Flip's desk.
Does this team look like it actually give a damn about what people might be "cool" with?
No, I'm talking about Pheonix. Nash is beloved there. They aren't just going to send him someplace that he's not onboard with. They are going to Joe Dumars him to an agreeable destination.
Nash cant play SG so why are you guys even discussing this.
I wouldn't even consider it unless Nash convinces me he's willing to take a lesser role off the bench. I don't want guys on this team that want to play in actual games.
Nash is the prototypical Pistons PF. He's playing out of position in Phoenix. Besides, he'd be thrilled to play in Detroit where the Timbits are only half an hour away.
At PF, he could get enough rebounds to give us all a free small curly fry from Arby's.
Butler's injury is serious, so Cuban is probably willing to play. Of all the contenders (and pseudo-contenders) out there, they are the ones that could use Tay the most. Plus RC knows Tay and probably it'll be an easy fit for the Mavs. The problem is that they don't have anything that we would really want. Because they are a playoff team, their 1st round picks are essentially worthless. Other than Dirk and Chandler, they don't have any decent bigs. (sidenote: just noticed Haywood's Contract. A 6-year $7M contract. He'll be 37 when that's done! Suddenly CV doesn't look so expensive). They have two young French bigs in Ajinca and Mahinmi. I don't know either of those guys, but looking at their stats, they'd be projects. Maybe a 3-team deal would work. Dallas sends Butler's expiring to some team, we send Tay to Dallas, "some team" sends players/picks to us. Dallas would have to sweeten the deal for everybody with picks & cash. I can't think of a scenario right now though. EDIT: I just did: http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=28rtmw7
TMac to Dallas could be attractive for them, too.
