    DT,

I am starting to look right about Jones, and I was dead right about Williams.

So take my word for it, the Lions will win next weekend.

    I can't explain HOW I am so smart, I just am. :D

lol, Yeah yeah, I think maybe you were right about Williams. But Jones is a STUD! :hand:
We'll see. Watch Jones run all over Carolina (but Detroit will still lose:P)

Motown, let me add a few more to your cycle if I may:

Last game of the season and all we have to do is win and we're in.

Oops, fumbled snap on the game winning extra point

That's ok, we just won the toss to start OT

WHAT?!?! We're giving them the ball??? Is that you Marty?

Oh well, we just gave up a 99 yard drive to lose it, seasons over.

But atleast we get another top 10 draft pick!

...and with the 10th pick, the Detroit Lions select....another receiver?????

    Go for it!

Why not. They couldn't possibly do any worse. Its not like they have to learn the routes to catch up, the receivers never ran them right anyway.

At least Bly can catch. Maybe then Kevin Johnson can play QB, since he's listed as the emergency back anyway.

Remember me suggesting the same thing with MSU's Matt Trannon a few weeks ago, only with him playing D in State's obviously porous & SHORT secondary on passing downs?

I would love to see it from both the Lions & Spartans! It would make their games more interesting, if nothing else...

If any of the 2-ways failed, I'd forgive them. Worth a try in any case. If you've got the talented & willing athlete, you may as well use them to their full potential.

lmao @ the receivers running wrong routes (it's so true).

Yeah, why not. It's good to see Mooch take a chance for a change.

I really think they should give that rookie Orlovsky a shot at it, although putting in a rookie QB is not normally wise. I just think Harrington is terrible.

(Yes, Detteam...I immediately thought of you when I saw that! lol)

I actually haven't given up on Harrington yet. I don't think he's the second coming of Brett Favre, but I do think that he has the potential to be a solid, servicable NFL QB.

Granted this is his 4th season, but he hasn't had much help.

    - the O-Line doesn't give him much time or open holes for the run. Sure they don't give up many sacks, but that's because Harrington checks done to his backs and short routes that don't take long to develop. He gets hit and hurried a heck of a lot of the time. Teams don't fear the run, so they either come on a blitz or drop back in coverage.

    - the receivers can't run the right route, get seperation or catch the ball

    - the coaches can't call a freaking aggressive play to save their lives, are as predictable as they come, and don't show much confidence in their own QB.

OK, I was a whopping 0-3 on my college predictions for this weekend (very narrowly missing the USC and U of M games...Spartans let me down too). So don't listen to me, but I'm changing my prediction on the Lions. I had a Lions loss at 24 - 21.

    Changing it to:

    Panthers: 24

    Lions 10

They are just pathetic. The Panthers have a couple of running backs hurting or the score would be closer to the week 2 blowout score against the Bears.

I figured they'd get blown out with the depleted receiving corps. Glad to be wrong, but a one-point loss isn't any easier to swallow. I feel bad for the defense. I followed the game online, and it seemed as if the D played well. You gotta be able to rush the ball in the Niffle. 50 to 60 yards on 20-something carries ain't gonna cut it.

We win if Kevin Jones does as good as he can so he can make up for our crapp QB. Or else we get slaughtered.

I followed it online also. It looked to me like they just kept running the ball with 3 minutes left in order to play "not to lose". Those Lions always figure out a way to get your hopes up even when you tell yourself "no way..not this time!"

As soon as Carolina got the ball back after we played not to lose I knew it was over.We took out their starting QB and let the backup play catch and run with Proehl.WTF??

The play calling that last drive sucked and the O-line sucked Harrington sucked and they totally let the defense down.If I was on the defense I would blanket party the offense.Or at least go TP their houses.

You gotta love GOT MOOCH and his running out the clock at the end of the first half.

And the red zone play calling.

After the Lions finally spring a big play, they come up empty.

    I hate/love/hate/love/hate/love this team.
