Yes, I'm soon to be 39 and if I beat her it would not be easy.

    How many did she do?

Looks like the world record for non-stop push-ups is:

    10,507; Minoru Yoshida (1980)

27.5 for her and he supposedly did 30, but only 20 of them would be considered full pushups as he didn't go down low enough on all of them.

Yeah, they were more like gentle elbow flexes.

I was impressed how fit Kenny was. He was doing push-ups and spinning around to face the cameragal.

There are 2 issues in question here,

    1) Was the trade a good one? So far it appears no. Dumars appears to have underestimated his X-32yr guards resilience. Thats not to say that CB will lose it next year but so far he has been in top form. Combine that with an over-estimation of Stuckey and there you go.

    2) Would the Pistons have been looking like Denver if CB were still here? NO I don't think so. The rest of the team had their problems.

You are right, we didn't have anybody like Melo who could slash right to the rim, an additional three point threat in Jr Smith, any big man who is as fast as Nene, and no enforcer in Martin.. all of them are young hungry guys with only Martin and Billups over 30 years of age.

I am not sure who doing a worst job, the refs or Mark Jackson and JVG...their commentary in criticizing the refs and the players makes me really miss Reggie Miller, Doug Collins, and dare I say it ~Raspy PJ Carlisimo...

and Jalen Rose and Avery Johnson really pale in comparison to Kenny, EJ and Charles..

Back to the game :Rockets came out aggressive and Lakers started off as if they had already won the game....Hopefully the Rockets don't self destruct and blow this, because Phil will not throw out the white flag until the end..

Derek Fisher is just so bad. He is d-league material.

If and I mean IF LA survives Houston in this round, Billups' edge over the Lakers' point guards is significant to potentially lead them to an upset win. Billups has often flamed out in recent conference championship series... he won't do so against these creampuffs.

It seems like Kobe matches up well against the Nuggs on paper.

Not only that, but Billups is the only player in league history to have made 7 cons. trips to the conference finals since the playoff format change where each series is at least a best of 5 (changed from best of 3 in R1 to best of 5 in 1984, then to best of 7 in 2003).

How many players have made 7 trips to the conference finals, period? Impressive indeed.

Once again the Laker players believe the hype that they would take care of business tonight and left their game in LA....

The local and national media experts:confused: all had the Laker winning tonight and getting ready to face Denver. Tim Legler, Jalen Rose etal...shut your mouth and let them play the game instead of not predicting, but telling us who will win..

who needs vets Yao and T-Mac when three second year guys basically win the game for you and Joe could have drafted two of them.:yellowprison:

Scola set the tone early to get the Rockets started and finishes with 24 pts and 12 boards and Aaron Brooks and Carl Landry finish off the Lakers in the 4th with their youth and quickness. Brooks dazzled the Lakers with 26 pts and dribble penetration and Landry was 6-6 from the field with 9 boards.

We know the rockets signed Scola as FA in 2007 after the Spurs traded his draft rights, but let me remind you that Brooks was the 26th pick in the 2007 draft, (11 picks behind Stuckey and one ahead on Afflolo and 6'9 PF Landry was the first pick in the second round and 4 behind Afflolo. :stirthepot:

    Landry was looking good.

Amazing that they are missing TMac, Yao, and Mutumbo and they still beat the Lakers convincingly.

Agreed. Although, for some reason Anthony has problems against LAL.

    edited to add;

I'm also extremely impressed with Rick Adelman. I always thought he was OK not great, but his rotations/game plan/maneuvering this series has been fantastic.

I know that they miss Ming but do you really think they're missing Tracy at this point???

...addition by subtraction if you ask me.

I expect the Rockets to aggressively shop T-Mac next year and I hope like heck that Joe has the sense to not pick up the phone when they call.

I'd rather gargle with razor blades, be in a threesome with aunt Esther and Woody and be in a hot tub with Flip Murray's momma than listen to JALEN ROSE talk!! Aggggggggghhhh!!:granade:
