I also want to emphasize the distinction that he not only made it to 7 straight CFs, he led teams to 7 straight CFs.

Some interesting quotes from Wetzel's article about the Rockets-Lakers Game 6:

You know, these Lakers really remind me of the 2005-2008 Pistons. Playing bored with a sense of entitlement and they are frustrated that teams with lesser talent put up a fight. Maybe they should watch the Pistons' ECF flameout tapes to realize that the "are we there yet?" attitude is a bad strategy when chasing a championship.

Right, with a seemingly miserable supporting cast to boot.

Yea...The Pistons in 2006-2008. Both teams had a good coach, but an "on/off" switch mentality.

The Lakers do remind me of the Pistons, but not because of the switch mentality that everyone is speaking of.

Phil Jackson, much like our own Joe Dumars, likes bigger guards. This leaves them vulnerable to the quicker PG's en vogue today. For our sake lets hope these 2 aren't a couple of dinosaurs still living in 1990.

I agree. He sucks as an analyst. He inputs are always something that watches NBA should know.

If LA loses, I wonder how Houston handles Chauncey and Co.

[STRIKE]When[/STRIKE] If Denver beats LA, it will NOT be an upset.

It would still be an upset, but not a really shocking one. Denver will come into LA rested and hungry.

Dumars will never hear the end of this if Denver wins. Even if Denver loses in the finals.

Rather CB win it than Ben though.

Hopefully Jackson has finally realized two things; Play Bynum and Derek Fisher sucks defensively.

This series was made unnecessarily difficult by LAL b/c of their own stupidity.

    LOL

It was a fix...the celebrities wanted more games at the Staples Center so that they can get more face time on network TV....:)

Jack Nicholson has already told Stern that he wants the next series will go seven games too.

It's pretty neat how in the morning news, how they keep sneaking in "Go Chauncey" when they talk about the Lakers vs Nuggets.

Lakers up 1 at the half.

Nuggets had a chance to pull away in this one having a 12 or 13 pt lead three quarters of way thru the first quarter. I think momentum changed when Billups came down the floor with one his "why did he take that three shot with all of his team mates behind him."

The score was 29-17 at the time and when he missed, & Sasha fierce came down and hit a three on the other end and then Shannon Brown came down hit another one. The Lakers bench got them going and before you knew it they were back in the game .

The Laker bench outscored the Nuggs 20-3 and despite six assists for Billups, he looked his old Conference finals self shooting 1-5 and missing three straight FT's

I thought his free throws hurt them most. They must be kicking themselves for letting AI go.

This series looks like it's gonna go the distance . . .

The Lakers will have a tough time in DEN. And they seem to have no other scoring outside of Kobe.

The stupidity of some of the Nugget players should compensate for that though.
