He's had three legit stars for awhile now. He loses Ginobli and the team heads south. Where's his "magic" coaching skills. Kinda like winning titles with Jordan, Rodman, and Pippin...Not hard coaching talent to win.
Parker has only emerged as a star in the last 3 years. Pop has been on a very nice roll for a decade.
This was supposed be the Spurs year after winning in 03, 05, and 07, to continue the trend they were supposed win in 09 too.
Those Nuggets look good last night. Melo was able to get to the rim without any problems, and Billups was able to just throw in a three without a sweat, but JR Smith....dude was throwing down threes from the parking lot. It would be a lot, but now I hope they upset the Lakers and get in the finals...
They sure did look great against the hapless Hornets. Nobody on that Hornets team impressed me other than West. I think NO had not recovered from the beating they received on their home court. The series was over before this game even started. I don't think Dallas has much of a chance against the Nuggets. Against the Lakers, hmm. I don't know. I think that it all depends on Nene and Kmart. If they can contain the twin towers of LA somehow, they may have a chance. Yeah, Kobe's an assasin in the PO, but that series would be decided inside methinks.
This just in: Rockets make it to the second round... T-Mac : CAN I COME BACK TO PLAY NOW? Lakers who had trouble with Blazers breath a sigh of relief....
Rockets, Lakers can beat them. So can the Jazz. Dont underrate them. They had injuries this season and ended up 8th.
Hornets finished the season 5 - 7. They played without chandler, stojakovic. Both returned at the last game of season. Both played injured in the series. Also Posey was complaining of injury as well. I think without their injuries, they could have made a nice series.Lose in a respectable manner at least.
Artest's post game was pretty funny. He's a whack job but I can't think of anyone besides David Lee or Paul Millsap that I'd like to see Joe snatch more this summer.
Crazy Ronnie playing for Michael Curry scares the heck outta me. Ron has turned into a bit of a chucker this year as well. Seems like he's fell in love with the 3-pt line this season.
At .399 from deep, he should be shooting them. If we got Artest, he would be our best defender, our best 3-point threat, and would get to the free throw line more than any other player on our roster. There is the psychosis issue, but that is for Kander to worry about.
