First of all, I would like to announce my return from an unplanned hiatus. For months, I fell into a basketball-deprived rut (for obvious reasons); even the thought of visiting PF.com escaped my mind, and that alone doesn't sit well with me. But that's all water under the bridge as I have returned after spending that time helping my good friends Hal and Kittie Kramer fix up their lake house. This thread is a bit different from last year's. If the NBA was still tickin' and Piston nation hadn't taken a lickin', what would you be looking most forward to? Keep in mind, these choices may yet apply... sometime. The new Pistons goin' to work (including coach Frank) The return of George and Special K himself, Gregory Kelser The return of Jonas Jerebko The revealing of Eli's replacement Trying your hand at the McDonalds Piston player of the game Getting another run at those curly fries The opening of the PF.com chat P.S., I must say, PF.com's new look is snazzier than ever! Congratulations to Admin36 and staff!
1) The return of Jason Jerebko. 2 The return of George and Special K himself, Gregory Kelser. 3) The completion of Hal and Kittie Kramer's lake house.
Gotta like the enthusiasm... Partial to the Gores influence... is he willing to amnesty BG (and his full contract) for the sake of adding the needed big man? Also like Bills #3... never underestimate a good house correction... exactly what this franchise needed.
I'm looking forward to watching what will be included in Joe Dumars' snack regimen. Unless the basketball gets exciting around here. Kinda hard with Stuckey lingering out in the parking lot.
The return of Jonas Jerebko The much-needed-improve of Greg Monroe The trades that this year MUST happen
1. I can't wait to see Brandon Knight Play. 2. How will JJ and Monroe mesh? 3. Bynum and White mega-dunks.
Another season with trying to find minutes for 5 SGs and 1 guy that's actually a PG. Hopefully a 10 win season. Seriously. Someone on the coaching staff realizing what was already known, that Austin Daye is a SF.
I am most looking forward to some solid leadership for a change. Even an average coach would be a vast improvement over what we have seen the past 3 years. Lot of talk about Frank bringing defense back to Detroit which we have not seen emphasized since LB really. I would not worry about the guards. They can make trades now without having to worry about the salaries matching ( prior restriction when the team was being sold ). I expect either Rip to be traded or Stucky released, one or the other has to happen.
