Yeah, dribble penetration from one sideline to the other, the defense just couldn't stop him!
Didn't some accuse Lee of that? Not that I am dissing Lee, I love his dedication to the game and his thoughtful comments.
Many people accuse many people of that. It usually occurrs when they are losing an argument. That's the #1 thing I hate about that place. You don't know who you are talking to. I spent almost a year on the Big Ten forum going back and forth with a guy who didn't even exist. It was some type of character created for a college class to study how people would react to his quirkiness. I wasted alot of energy for nothing.

I think Stuckey will do pretty good in some areas and not so good in other areas.
That sounds pretty outrageous....but I'm going to agree with you.
Are you thinking the same areas that I'm thinking? You know, the question asked for my "generic expectation of Stuckey", so I was trying to give a generic answer...
Bill, you gunna narrow this down? I think Stuckey will struggle to score at times, the question will be whether he keeps coming, or starts getting tentative and looks to pass first.
I don't believe Hot Rod will ever get tentative for more then maybe very short periods of time. Why? From everything I have read about him and from what I have seen do on a court, I don't believe getting tentative when it counts is in his nature. If you watched the SL games you will recall that he deferred quite a bit to other players early, but in the 3rd and especially 4th quarter he did what he felt he had to do to get a win for the Pistons. I don't believe he will change this at all. He has fought and worked very hard for his achievements in life and is by nature an aggressive ball player. Of course Lebron got tentative for one play in last year's playoffs against us but that tentative play did not last. I see Hot Rod in the same style of aggressiveness, or even like Kobe who wants the ball in the 4th quarter. Hot Rod will challenge C-Bill for the name "Mr. Big Shot"
My expectations are simple: Agression off the bench! Both Affalo & Stuckey are gamers, and there's room for both. On this team there's room for any player that can put the rock in the hole, and play halfway decent defense. It won't happen overnight, but it's going to happen.
Drive, penetrate, get to the basket, drive, penetrate, get to the basket, drive penetrate get to the basket, draw double teams, drive, penetrate, kick it out to the open man, drive, penetrate shoot, watch, learn, average 22 mpg, drive penetrate, get to the basket. These skills became a lost art with the pistons since the days of one Zeke Thomas.
I'd like to see at least one of the new guards able to draw the foul when driving................
Rip can draw fouls off of his hesitation moves. Once Stuckey achieves that level of savvy, he will be an 18 PPG player.
I agree but I would add the obvious that I think you assumed would be understood. drive, penetrate, finish and convert. After all Delfino could drive penetrate pretty good but he was a horrible finisher. I am assuming that you do believe that Hot Rod will finish at the rim and convert a lot better than Delfino. (Yes I know Delfino made his free throws only last year). Am I correct in that assumption? thanks.
