What is a swingman jersey??
They're the pink ones with rainbows in back of the Jerry West logo.
They also come with a bedazzler for personalization.
I figured I wouldn't get a str8t answer.
wow...I can't believe some people complained about that post. I just figured it was your normal pillow talk with scoe
I think a swingman jersey has little holes in it like a real jersey, but the numbers are printed on vs. sewed on. I don't really know though and I'm not a big jersey collector.
Someone brought it up and a few said they had one so I figured it was something normal..although I didn't have clue myself
I thought the Swingman jersey were the ones that are the replica jerseys meaning that the numbers and letters are stitched material as opposed to the other jerseys where the numbers and names are not fabric but painted on the jersey. The swingman also is longer in the back slightly.
#3 - Ben Wallace - Alternate Road Jersey - Red - Authentic
#32- Richard Hamilton - Road Jersey - Blue - Swingman
and I must admit that I got a Denver Replica jersey #3 Allen Iverson but I am planning to replace it with a #1 Pistons Authentic Blue Road Jersey from NBA.com asap.
I'm crazy about that guy.
P.S. The 3 kinds of NBA jerseys that aren't knockoffs are explained on nba.com. Click on Shop, then Jerseys. And up will come the descriptions. Authentic are the most expensive, the next is swingman and the last is replica. Not only are the letters and numbers different on each, but the dimensions of length and width differ. The Authentics are very expensive, $179 I think. I would get a swingman but Allen Iverson is my favorite athlete on the planet, so I've decided to splurge. By the way if you want one you have to order it and they aren't guaranteeing delivery until 4/15/09. I guess the early season trade threw them off at the jersey factory.
I bought a Pistons practice jersey that I ironed on a number 17 for Sammy Mejia's summer league excellence.
(if you Google Sammy Mejia pics LADre & wife's pics come up first)
Thanks for the tip.
...oh, I also have a Championship year Sheed Pistons home jersey (Purchased just to taunt Portland Blazer fans) & and a home Tayshaun Prince jersey (Purchased BEFORE the Lebroning).
...oh, and a Clyde Drexler '95 championship season road jersey. (sorry)
...oh yeah, I also have a Will Blalock #43 limited edition "Swingman" that I bought at the Palace Lockeroom store back in '07 to commemorate "The Shot" against Philly.
Instead of Will's normal number (#8), the clever Piston marketing folks designed the "Blalock For Three!" edition for a limited run.
These sold out quickly and I consider myself lucky to own one.
Would you be willing to part with it for my Fennis Dembo jersey? I've only worn it a couple times...which is probably as much as he wore his.
Can't part with the Blalock.
How about a David Wood jersey for your Fennis Dembo?
Get real. That's just plain insulting! Did David Wood ever make the cover of Sports Illustrated...yeah, I thought not!
No SI covers.
But G. Blaha used to refer to him as "Air Wood".
And Blaha is not one to give nicknames or praise to a Piston player without a darned good reason.
OK, lemme think about it...but, would you consider throwing in your Blaha bobblehead? I'll add my Michael Williams rookie card.
- a pair of number 6 underwear that i can interchange as Terry Mills for one T, and Flip Murray for the other
- 3 pair of Crash Mengelt socks that i use to slide across the kitchen before every game as I sing STILL LIKE THAT OLD TIME ROCK N ROLL
in my number 6 drawers
- a Scott Hastings headband
- Howard Porter shot glasses with #54 on one side and MVP of Final fourNOT on the other
- A tshirt with the Pistons who led the NBA in something stats on it. "wow, Kevin Porter was a pass bandit!"
- Isaih Thomas likeness condems.....Sorry, I really liked the Bad Boys
- A leather jacket that reads "If I was 6'1" , I'd be the greatest player my size in NBA history!"
I just bought a championship banner T-shirt with the classic "Detroit Pistons" logo on the front and 3 Larry O'Brien trophies on the back to honor the three championships in Pistons history... it's a really nice shirt.
I figured I was pretty safe in buying this because I don't feel that I'm in any danger of having to buy a new shirt at the end of June.
