This is correct. It is when Husqvarna and Vetterstad (to small cities nearby my childhood home) merged they created the club HV71.
I don't see anything about this current team that gives anyone the hope that one had during the rise of the Bad Boys or during the years following Chauncey's arrival. The peices we have are not as valuable as people may think in terms of trade bait or championship contributors. That is purly IMO.
I guess the sadness is that more people see this group of Pistons being more similar to the Teal Era Pistons than they do the Bad Boys or 04 team.
The Grant Hill teams did win 54 games once, so I guess you're right. This team doesn't have a Grant Hill, heck we don't even have an Alan Houston. I'm talking about the teams directly following the collapse of the Bad Boys, the Pistons teams that won 20 games and missed the playoffs in consecutive years.
This one's for LaDre...The current Pistons are like the Milwaukee Bucks just before getting Lew Alcindor.
You guys are way off. I don't think there is any doubt that the Pistons are one of the top 30 teams in the league.
Allright, top 32 then if you include Duke University and Mortimer Duke from the movie Trading Places. He can really get to the line.
Peera is in Lappland, just across the border from Sweden. Pretty darn remote place. population under a thousand. We had only one visitor from there, my Grandma's sister. And only one family from here, my Aunt and Uncle, ever went there to visit. Pretty much lost contact at this point, as my Aunt and Uncle have passed on, and what contact info we did have is pretty much lost. Anyway, although I call myself Finnish, since that was the language my dad was raised on, I am actually both Swedish and Finnish. Someday, if I ever get to Europe, I should visit Peera. Heck, my family was so extensive (got tons of pictures of the family), I would probably find most people there are my cousins.
Wow, that is quite far up north, isn't it? Right up on Lady Finland's fingertips. I spent a summer in Oulu, which is about 8 hours south of Peera, and did a quick trip to southern Lapland while I was there, but I never really went so far north. Beatiful country and great people. They have some really colorful traditional clothing. Lots of reindeer herding up there as far as I know. They make excellent reindeer cheese and jerky. As a matter of fact, UP reminds me a lot of Northern Finland. Southern Finland is as flat as a pancake, but the Northern region is all rolling hills.
Yes, Peera is way, way up north. And yes, I do have lots of family around Houghton and Hancock. Definitely similar climates.
