Real Talk, this is a very deep and talented team. They are also very lazy (which can be linked to coaching), lethargic and undisciplined. Joe has dealt Flip one helluva a hand this year, if dufus can ever figure out how to maximize this teams talent AND vesaltility......the 'ship would be a wrap, because we can be a matchup nightmare for every team we play against.

...and that's exactly the line between potential and performance.

I think Cola gets his teams to overachieve on the defensive end of the court.

Jerry Stackhouse earned a reputation as a "rugged defender" under Carlisle. The Pacers were still a hard nosed and scary opponent to play against even after all of their marquee players lost their minds.

Then there was the other end of the floor where Rick wanted to call all of the plays himself every time down.....

Screw it, I'd take Cola over Flipper, right before I kicked the chair out from underneath myself. :pound:

In a perfect world...sure the exact championship coach you need and desire drives to 5 championship drive and screams...Hey Bill! Hire Me!

Not gonna happen. You get off your arse and start looking for the answer you just don't just stick with something that doesn't work until Ready Made Coach (just add water) pops up outta the blue.

That's how you lose said perfect coach to the other teams that figured they wouldn't stand around and shrug their shoulders.

I voted for "Tomorrow" since tomorrow never really comes. I'll let you know if I change my mind. Let's see how he integrates the young and new players into the lineup. I'll still give him til february........

Guys, we are officially spoiled. You realize that we actually have a chance of Flip coaching in the same All-Star game that is supposed to be his last day as Pistons coach?:nerd2:

It's weird how the all-star break will come and go, but tomorrow will still be Flip's safe haven.

"It's going to be wait and see right now", to quote the mastermind himself.

"I'm pleased with what I've seen over the first 20 games."

...........a quote by Joe Dumars in the Boston Globe recently when interviewed for the big game coming up on the 19th..........

Joe is not going to fire the coach cause he'll win 50 games again.

Maybe he'll do it on Christmas Eve and restore his badboy status.

Is it just my imagination or is this team actually running more. A lot more.
We were averaging 105 pts there for a while.

Saunders has said a lot of stupid things since he has been in the league and this has to be near the top.

Of course McKapsky agrees with this.

KG more versatile than Magic Johnson, who played center against the Sixers in the NBA Finals, you have to be kidding.

Lebron is also more versatile than KG.

Both of these guys are on the cool aid.

If Flipper loves KG so much maybe he should talk to Doc Rivers about becoming his assistant, like starting tonight.

He also said that he could guard all 5 positions.

We thought CB had trouble staying in front of Tony Parker!

KG used to regularly pick up PG's full court. I vividly remember him picking up G Payton full court and clapping his hands inches from The Gloves face the whole way. Payton (Seattle Payton too) could not get by him.

That sounds like a description of Rodman.

No doubt that as a defender KG has and still continues to be one of the best but I don't recall him playing either guard position on offense.

One could look at KG as Rodman like ,whose defense was/is not as good as Rodman, but whose offense was/is better than Rodmans.

Keeping in mind that Rodman has more NBA title rings.

One of my biggest basketball regrets in life was the year Rodman hurt his ankle prior to (I think) the ECF against Chicago. That was kind of his last hurrah as a perimeter defender. I really wanted to see him go against Jordan.

P.S. There shouldn't be a Hall of Fame if Rodman ain't in it.
