How does the 05-06 team evolve?

  1. Flip keeps the pedal to the metal. Minimal bench and 62 plus wins

    21.4%
  2. Less gunning more penetrating more Dee. [LB Ball]

    7.1%
  3. Major bench use at home, minimal losses.

    28.6%
  4. Major bench use, heavey losses but still 1-4 seed.

    3.6%
  5. Minor trades to fine tune, bench improvement

    17.9%
  6. Major trades to dominate. Does not include Darko

    3.6%
  7. Darko is traded and we get the best of the deal.

    14.3%
  8. The bench fails and we punk out in the conference finals, starters legs froze up.

    3.6%

New Poll. Public Poll we can see how you voted. Only one choice. I got this idea from Mercs "The new Coach System".

We have some astute Bball people in here but how sage are you? Can you see the future from our past?

Can you tell the next evolution of this fantastic team for 20 games or for the season?

Sorry guys it's just not that sage a poll. I should have added the offense starts going through Darko. The Poll Master will strike again!

FrenchyF, I think JD could snooker a good deal for Darko. It's all about being sneaky right?

i would like the bench to play more especially at the palace since the fans can give them a boost. maybe since the pistons have played more on the road then at home the bench isn't used as much. i really hope the bench improves because we'll need it.

I think Flip keeps it floored bench if we need it or in blowouts.62 wins this gives us Homecourt which I believe if we had last year we would be going for 3peat now.

    None of the Above

Flip continues to groom the bench one player at a time, eventually getting what he needs. We forget that this is a marathon not a sprint. The key is to begin the playoffs with 4 capable subs, and make it to the finals with 3 of um still performing solidly.

I'm with you BigD, but the "dead legs" people will complain.
...LPen, so far Flip trusts [in order of talent] Dyess, CarArr and Mo. Davis is a wild card for bigs. Everyone else will have to fight for PT.

    evolution of the Pistons

Dont know weather to be that dramatic, but i think come play-off time the bench will go down 2 main players...Dice/Annoyo.
Play off time is when its hard to score points and you have to grind it out to win.
Im sure other bench players will play sporadically during the play-off's,but they wont get many minutes.
And remember that national games have a big t-v timeouts that go a few minutes longer, allowing the starters to rest more.

    JimMAE, what's up down under?
If our starters are fresh for the 4th q. it's lights out for the other team. That little extra bit of energy generated by the bench could lead to a block or rebound by a fresh starter. One BBall pt.

Re: Which way...05-06 Piston Evolution?/ Darko is traded

Well, well, well, Frenchy, Majestic and Warts. Saw Darko being traded.
And the 5 that saw a minor trade get credit too. Sence TDrib went with Darko to Orl.
... Back in early Jan. Dirty Money said Darko and TDrib for K. Cato. Where did he get that! What about the pick DM?
...Unfortunately the team didn't evolve that much. We get a big to sit on the bench and maybe Acker gets to step up. Hunter is back. The Defense only people will be happy.

No, actually I thought that we would clear the bench and pick up Spree +1 two hours before the trade deadline.
