The only rule is, you have never seen these players...even on Youtube...somebody just told you about them.
Rufus Henry certainly tops the list, in my eyes. He is one legend I only wish I could have seen. There is another folk hero that played on the streets of Flint that could swish it from half court pretty near every time with either hand....never seen em play, though.
Yep. Half court mostly. I'd say he and Earl "The Goat" Manigault are two names often mentioned together.
I'll add that his training methods along with his diet add to the interest. If only we had gotten this sort of background info on MJ or James.
Bill Russell. I heard alot about a guy called Rodney Stuckey. Tenacious defender, scores at will. Would apparantly lay a Kobe like legacy. Never seen that guy play though.
Yes, but not in person. On an old B&W TV. With the Lakers. He was 6' 11" with thick glasses. Big, but pretty well coordinated.
I've seen Pistol Pete, Oscar (In person with his Cinncinnati college team) Also the Celtics of Russell and Cousey, and of course Wilt.
Terrico White. Incredible athlete, vicious competitor and flamboyant playmaker. Wade 3.0. Source: Brap
