    Over at the Picks..........Giants and 49ers are a dead heat / 50-50..........

Patriots up to 89% of the vote........I'm gonna watch for a sudden sway in this game's voting.

Could mean a move by our competitor if the Baltimore Ravens suddenly jump to 25%........

Patriots all the way up to 91%..........that's huge...........

    49ers moved up to 54%.............

Hakeem Nicks may not play Sunday.........rolled his ankle in practice Friday.
    If he's out........I probably switch my pick...........he's key for me....to see.....a victory.......

Bro, nobody cares about Eagles. They wasted their season. Lights out.

The Giants are hot. They peaked at just the right time. My money is on them until some team proves that they can stop them.

Based on my rough estimate there are probably about 78 players picking this week. With the Patriots at 92%, there are about 6 or 7 players that have picked the Ravens. It's difficult for me to believe that all of those are from the Detroit Board. I think it's safe to say we have this one in the bag if we stay roughly with the consensus.

I just counted all the people who have over 200 picks, admittedly not a very scientific method.

My rough estimate says this is a pretty scientific method compared to the one Nemo used.

    7 of them played.

    4 picked 49ers & 3 picked Giants.

    All 7 picked Patriots.

We can potentially gain (or lose) 1/2 game on both the Patriots game and Giants game.

Now...we are actually talking percentages. Detroit Board has played more games. So Detroit Board has guessed on about 200 more games than us. So if all 8 had played on each side, and all of us won (16 wins), then if all of us won, our opponents would actually be hurt from a percentage standpoint, and also it would hurt them because we maintain a lead and get closer to the finish line.

If all 8 guessed the same, and we all lost, then we would still be closer to the finish line, but we would stand to lose more from a percentage standpoint because since we played less games, it would affect our percentage more than theirs.

However...all 8 did not play for them. 7 played.

So, if the Pats win, based on the actual guesses, then MAYBE we gain more because the extra win would be enough to gain ground on them. Too lazy to actually go and try the percentages on any of this junk, :)

Now, I believe IF the Giants win, I THINK we lose 1.5 games or gain 1.5 if 49ers win, so offhand think we gain percentage wise.

Disclaimer: I did all of this in my head just now as I typed, so I may be off on the games. Some may surmise I may "be off (my rocker)" period. :loco:

All in all I believe we have the potential to win or lose a total of 2 games. If we don't lose ground, I wonder if we might be able to manipulate our numbers enough with our guesses to gain a victory no matter what next week. Now my head hurts.

ohhhh...I assumed we were still 6-2 on 49ers. That's gonna throw my numbers in the previous post off a bit. :rofl:Oh well, Back to the drawing board.

Junior and webz switched to the niners. So including me, our best guesser (nemo), and our three worst guessers (Me, Junior, and Webz) all picked Giants. Now I'm not so confident with my pick!

Isn't this fun??? :burp: (Actually, it is. It's coming right down to the wire. I'm proud of our team with our impressive teamwork. :grouphug: If we win, the difference may be that we are a close knit group )!

Devastating loss for Baltimore. From having the game winning touchdown catch to missing the tying FG immediately afterward... glad that isn't how the Lions went out.
