Alright, we have a decent team now, a good one. I've been talking to a few friends of mine fans of other teams, and the question rise about who is the franchise player?

    Jennings/Billups/Siva/Bynum
    Stuckey/Caldwell Pope
    Josh Smith/Kyle Singler/Datome
    Greg Monroe/Tony Mitchell/ Jerebko/Villanueva
    Drummond

Of course, the question can be divided in

    a) Who is the franchise player right now?
    b) Who will be the franchise player in 3 years?

Feel free to answer the "a)" in the poll and the B in your posts if you want to.. I can't create a double poll :(

Note: I didn't put Billups because we all know he is the vocal leader, but I'm talking about the face of the franchise.

Since Stuckey wasn't an option, I went with Drum.

    Monroe at the moment....

Josh Smith probably will be for this year....

Drummond in another year will pass them all...

Easy-Drummond now and in the future, he is the most untouchable piece.

Moose is definitely the cornerstone of this franchise right now.
Drummond will become the franchise in less than 2 years.

If there was a video game, they'd have to put Smith on the cover.

I like the fact that we have to actually ask this question.
There's a certain "Goin to Work' vibe to all this.

I think the casual Internet fan sometimes forgets that Monroe is even on the team. I like the guy, and he is definitely under-rated, but I don't see him as the face of the franchise.

Smith is our 'superstar', Monroe is probably the 2nd best player and Drummond is the franchise cornerstone, at least for the fans.

I agree with this. However, I wouldn't be surprised to see Drummond overtake the "Superstar" status within a few years.

This is exactly how I thought of it. Smith would get the NBA 2K cover. I really think he will thrive in the new scenery. Sometimes it takes a new home to break out of his shell. Drummond is what we want, but he will have some rookie moments and some stinkers of games where you are lefty wondering where he was.

    I'm goin with Pope.
I'll look brilliant if he ends up being awesome.
If he turns out to be an average back-up 2-guard, nobody will remember this.
