I came up with "Wallace" and "Maxiell" for possible Pistons words.

    Hanged or Hung?

Hanged means "executed by hanging." Some authorities accept hung.

    Hung means "suspended" otherwise.

Both are past tenses or past participles of the verb to hang, but each applies to specific cases.

Examples: The five plotters in the Lincoln assassination were hanged.
We hung the towels out on the clothesline to dry.

actually the word Wallace appears in a ppost by Bezeach in the Tigers vs. Twins thread (Post # 12), and within the time frame (posted yesterday, the 14th, at 6:25 pm):

"To add insult to injury, Ben Wallace took his 'fro and followed the dough to Chicago to play for the Bulls."

I didn't find any posts with the word Maxiell within the time frame.

It doesn;t have to appear at all if the killer never used the pistons word. The clue letters will be in a single word.

You're right Mo...I'd rather be remembered as 'hung' than 'hanged'.

How about the word "basketball"? Suspects who have used this word during the timeframe include prof, webz (in the signature, which also includes the potential Pistons word "Wallace"), and, um, me. But I didn't do it so go blame somebody else.

basketball would be considered a non pistons word so it COULD BE a clue word and it wouldn't need to have LLAE even though it does.

    I just had an idea.

    slippy could be the murderer.

    a clever trick.

he won't even give us the option of voting for him and we don't even question it.

He's said wallace numerous times in the set time frame.

ha. how bout that slippy!!!! you thought you could've gotten away with it too.

so let's say that the killer did not use the pistons word (which is the one that has the clue letters). then we'd essentially be completely in the dark about who did it, right? I mean, apart from the sheer fact of posting (which 10 of us did during the time frame) there's nothing to go on.

    hmmmm...

on that basis, unless somebody comes up with something more solid between now and 10:47 am when the poll closes, I'll wind up just voting for bezeach, which is about the same as pulling a name out of a hat...

bezeach, can you clear your name? or cast suspicion upon someone else?

The OC Bible is a fictional religious book from Frank Herbert's Dune series of novels. It's an inside nerd joke.
