I reread Joe Dumars comments in Friday's paper regarding the pistons players last year.

He goes onto to say that he would not deal with all the missing/late for practice, losing Sunday games (speculated due to partying i.e.), not listening to coach instructions, defying orders from the coaching staff.

It appears that a lot of stuff was going on behind the scenes that we weren't privy to but is finally coming to light.

I realize that Iverson missed practice on Thanksgiving(?), but this issue is only the tip of the iceberg.

So who you think missed the bus?, Who missed practice? (Yeah, I am talking about PRACTICE ala AI)? Who were the players that disrespected Curry?, Who were the players that partied on saturday nights, missed practice thereby not ready to play on Sunday's hence the consistent Sunday losses?

Only serious entries please, LOL. (I know that's a reach because Ernie doesn't have a serious bone in his body, lol).

Could it be Rip? Rumors were that he didn't see an eye to eye with Curry. I wonder if that could be the reason.

    My guess:
Rip disrespected the Curry the most
AI missed practices and partied on Saturday Nights
    Sheed partied Saturday Nights
Kwame probably missed the bus multiple times because of how much common sense he lacks.

Hey, thanks for not classifying me with that no-good trouble maker Ernie. ;) No wait...actually I'm offended.

OK, I think the problems were A.I., Rip, and Sheed. I don't know much about the bench guys.

    Just guessing. Nothing too surprising.

Prince? Nah, I don't think it fits his M.O. /personality type to be out doing that. Same with Dice. Somehow I just view those guys as having enough integrity not to do it.

    Kwame...I dunno

Fabio? Maybe.Who knows? Why have cool hair if you can't party?

Stuckey. Bynum? spell check? Dang. I sure hope not.

If all this was really going on, you know, not giving Curry a free pass, but...uhmmm... maybe he does deserve another shot...at coaching...not of tequilla.

OK, can I screw around again now?

I've heard that Rip is really good about making the bus.

I know in the past, Amir, Sheed, and Delfino have been mentioned as missing buses.

I think it might be safe to include AI in that as well.

Missing a bus once or twice a season is not the end of the world, but partying the night before, or not showing up to practice is disrespecting the job.

Not sure about A.I. & Sheed missing the bus... they were on time for the party train.

It was reported right after the season that Sharpe missed or was late for multiple practices, buses, trains etc.

The partying I would go with AI simply because he was the only new player. It is hard to imagine Rip, Sheed et al drastically altering their routines this late into their careers unless they really did feel it was hopeless. If they were going out too much on Saturday's it would have surfaced before this year.

That's what I remember, too, Ernie. I also remember hearing about AJ missing buses/planes before.

Sheed and the boys always partied during the playoffs on the road.

Maybe AI was the catalyst for some less professional behaviour.

The one guy I feel pretty confident about doing his job would be Dice.

If Joe D. saw all this going on why didn't he put his foot down?

Maybe Mister Cool-and-Collected needs to familiarize himself with the Riot Act.

Prolly figured it was less disruptive to the image than making a big deal out of an expiring contract... I know he has had discussions with Rip about his personal situation... Rip did finalize the contract after the CB trade.

I feel no sympathy for Joe. This is the team he wanted.

Don't like the attitude of this team? Do something about it.

Actually seeing AI at Floods and then later on at Greektown was something that happened with regularity.

Isn't that the job of the coaching staff?

Either the head coach or have an assistant play the "bad cop" role.
