    Btw, I voted for detteam.

Darth does all of his crack (hahaha) investigation on webz, and completely overlooks at least 2 of detteam's posts in the same thread that qualify.

Since DT is like a bloodhound with no sense of smell, I could chalk it up to his ineptitude as a detective.

But of course, someone posted the obvious and he chose not to even respond.

Something is stinky around here. I bet if research is done on the first and second murders, other ties to detteam can be made. Me, I went with instinct. If Darth overlooks it, then based on the last two guys he killed innocently, the evidence is nearly conclusive.

Don't let the politicians cloud your judgement.

Just for the record, this sucks. :( Clue words should not be in someone else's quote or the title of the thread. Slippy, it's just very LAME.

This screws up all my previous evidence gathering and the list of possible suspects and possible murder posts is much longer.

I know, I know I should have clarified it sooner. AARGH.

I'm with darth on this one, as conclusified by my vote.
obviously it's the ones who are physically incapable.
    for sure!
i did it because i haven't posted about basketball!!!!

5 minutes left online at the computer lab...

    1. There is no evidence against Darth for the murder of Motown Pride.
    2. Roscoe has some evidence against him, but it's largely circumstantial in the sense that he posts so much in the basketball threads that he's bound to look suspicious. Not enough to time to further investigate.
    3. Detteam has several posts that look suspicious to me. I don't have my paperwork from the TheeTFD murder with me, but I recognize some re-occurring words, but they are lame words like: roster, starter.
    4. The one post from WebZ is suspicious, however he didn't have any evidence in the previous two murders that I found.

I'm going with my gut and I'm voting to hang detteam. Both Roscoe and the Prof found the same evidence I did and so... detteam it is for me.

I just want to say that I love PistonsForum.com. :inlove:

I didn't play the first game and have been watching this game to get a feel for it.

Yeah...I posted my thots on a few subjects...you wanna hang me for it? Go right ahead. You wanted me to come out and defend my posts...here it is...go back and read them. If you expect me to stop posting my thots because of this game...not gonna happen.

You're right...something is stinky around here.

I'm torn between voting for 2 people.

I had a hunch that if something specific happend, I was convinced this person was the killer. My hunch was confirmed recently, but now I can't remember the original reason I had the hunch! :frusty:

When is the deadline for voting? I have some more investigating to do!

You weren't on my list of non-participants Tay. You voted and gave feedback in this thread.

Sorry, I'm at work so I can't respond to everything right now, but I hope we all remember this is FUN. :)

You are free to state any opinion you wish. For my part, I will simply state that the rules were designed to promote lateral thinking on the part of the killer since all you really had to do was look at post traffic and adv. search keywords to narrow it down to 2-3 people.

    Thanks for playing.

the rules are fine slippy... chill everyone... it's just a game, nobody's really dying and if we don't get it perfect, it's all good. whatever level of effort we put into it is the result of our choice. obviously, everyone's gonna bring the attitude they feel like bringin' to the game. maybe we can enjoy those differences and the ribbing that goes along with that. (in tearful rodney king voice): can't we all just get along?

    Ahem, now then,

a question (and sorry if I've missed this answer somewhere else): can a first and last name count as a single pistons word? for example yesterday, i was thinking of "Laimbeer" and of "Alex" as single words that included "a" "l" and "e", but I was excluding "Carlos Delfino" or "Kelvin Cato" (where you'd need first and last to get the letters covered).

    what say, judges?

It was known as the Linwood Memorial Coal Burning Oven - a man-sized brick oven designed to efficiently turn out baked starches in mere seconds so that the condiment industry could reverse its financial woes. Linwood was its unfortunate first victim. And he didn't taste that good with ketchup. It was more like pork rinds and it didn't go over too well with the culinary guru's like Roscoe and Superstarov.
The noose itself was a passe item. Sure you could hear shouts of "Hang him!!!" but that was rhetoric - a rhythmic alliteration that was much easier to say than "Cook him in the oven!"

Detteam was selected this time to pay for the murder of Motown, the forums pre-eminent fantasy basketball expert. The coal was heated up when someone shouted, "This is inhumane!!!! You bunch of animals! Cooking your peers. This is 2006. We should know better. We shouldn't have to witness cannibalism. WE shouldn't have to witness mob justice! We shouldn't have to sit through an entire season of sideline twitching and a mid-range focused offense! Well, that may have to happen but not this!!"

"Well what should we do," the reply was in unison.

    "Banish him!!!!"

    "To where?"

"A NASA constructed facsimile of the moon! Complete with floating United States flag."

"hmm," said jammertime, "that may work. it possibly doesn't exist so he probably couldn't escape from it."

"Yes YES!" cried Detteam, "I'll even swear on the bible that I won't even TRY to escape."

"Nah, there's no room on the server for a conspiracy theory that doesn't involve David Stern," said Roscoe, "we'll turn him into chili using this"

"YIKES!" cried deteam. "I think banishment is a LOT healthier for the group."
"You're right my cholesterol conscious compadre," said Prof, "but with Flip still at the helm, we'll need all the Free Chili we can get. NOW GET IN THE POT!!"

And so it was that Pistons Fans were ready for the season. Finally.

Yeah its a bit late to come back and defend myself seeing as the hanging/baking/steaming has taken place, but anyhow:

You know darth, there is an entire thread on Laimbeer, its a bit un-detective-like to just pluck a name out of thin air like that.

I'm doing more research next time, this round i didn't have enough time. i think detteam was on my 'to-hang' list in the first round.

But i have my eye on a few others too.

As a follow-up after my long, slow simmer, I only have one thing to say to my detractors:

    BITE ME! :peace:
