Rod Stuckey seems to know everything.
Maybe Joe should re-sign him in a player/coach role.

Bill Laimbeer and JVG might be better options as the Someone Else was a bummer the past two years and the other two guys are already taken.

Rumor is Rick Adelman is done in Houston. He would be a fine upgrade over the Q.

If the roster didn't change we'd dislike him just as much as his predecessors. I've said that since this thread was started.

Good point, but I'd still love to have him. I'm convinced he can actually coach.

Rick Adelman is the anti-Tom Thibodeau.
...He should change his last name to Aelman.

Who's the best available defensive mastermind?

Adelman's not a bad defensive coach. The Rockets actually played decent defense under his watch. His Kings team was also not bad defensively. They're another team who probably were robbed from a title by a Robert Horry buzzer beater 3 pointer.

Compared to some of the other names being thrown around, I'd rather have Adelman.

We need a coach that will make Gores look classy. Maybe Stan Van Gundy.

I'm just worried that eventually JVG would reveal his plot to take over the world.

    I'll give you that.
My post was based on my own perception with absolutely no research. Simply put, I am too lazy to look up team defensive stats from Adelman's years in Portland, Sac and the Rockets.

Or....one could argue that his teams have been notoriously weak mentally ever since our very own Bad Boys were getting underneath the skins of the likes of Duckworth and Buck Williams.
    'Sacramento Queens...anyone?

There honestly isn't a single coach out there that can't be nitpicked and strung up for their deficiencies....something we have become very adept at doing to head coaches.

I love it. We need to start a thread for people to just post their perceptions based on absolutely no research.

    Hmmmm........

OK, we need to start a thread for people to NOT post their perceptions based on absolutely no reserach. :)

I usually just wait until TaShawn gives his opinion (which is consistently backed-up pretty well by statistics) and then I simply agree with what he says.

Sometimes, I'll make an attempt to articulate his argument using some different wording and pawn it off as my own.

I spend lots of time doing my research, and am put off by others who don't...

Won't work with this crew and I say this even if the Pistons lose two starters.
